Default Is this a good deal?

Hello everyone, I am new and looking for a nice, low mile c5z. The best one I have found in the So Cal area seems to be priced high. He posted it for 29.4k and said that 28k is a fair price. Let me know what you think please.

I looked at it in person today and it is in great condition.
It is a 2004 Z06 with 19k miles. All stock except for the shift ****. It comes with the window sticker and all original documentation. Here are photos.

Its worth what you're willing to pay for it.

There's what I'm willing to pay and what I should pay. I really liked his z but then again I'm a college student and I think a good price for this car is 25k which wouldn't ruin my financial situation.

Man its hard to say because as said its what you and the owner thinks its worth, i would offer 26 because i don't think he'll go 25 and maybe not to 26 but i would offer 26K, sometimes owners are ready to sell to not go thru the rift raft of buyers.

Good luck and let us know, it looks really nice in the pics, i've owned a new 2002 Torch Red Z06 and a new 2004 Comm. Edition Z06 they are nice cars.. don't abuse it when you buy it

Offer 26K cash and if he doesn't bite move on. This is assuming you have the cash and this is the color you want. I spent a year looking and making offers before I bought mine. Good Luck!

I agree. I offered 26k. That's a good deal for us both. Hopefully he thinks so too!

Considering people are selling C6Zs for only $2k more than his list price, I don't think his list price is very good.

Though to be fair, the C5Z doesn't drop valves. So there is that.

He said 27k is rock bottom. However the car does have a brand new car cover, all fluids just changed and new tires 900 miles ago. I think this is fair because that saves me some money.

I know you've got the fever but I would look around some more. That car will probably be there for awhile and you can always go back after two or three weeks and hit him up again. Meanwhile, check here daily- I've seen some reasonably priced Z's listed over the past several months. You can also watch Craigslist and EBAY, new listing there for a black 2004 with 7k miles for $23k with one minor problem, it's in Guam!!

I think 26K is more realistic. I bought my 2004 in August of last year with 56K miles on the clock for 23 thousand. I am very happy with that deal. Others may disagree with the price I paid, but the car is in very good shape.

Offer him 26K and see what happens. 27 is a bit much IMHO.

Agree with this. Don't think anyone is going to steal this one from you at this price.

His rock bottom will change after it sits for a while. $26k is his next rock bottom. $27k is too much. If it had 9000 miles $27k would be good.

Thanks a lot guys! I have another question. I am looking for a mostly stock one mainly because I don't know too much about mods yet. I usually mod the car myself. But this car I found seems to be a great deal with some extras. Are the parts on it good? Whenever I see a car modded like this it makes me think he raced it. Thanks.

Just make sure you can handle the exhaust noise. I got mine stock except MGW quick shifter. I prefer to buy stock myself. Everybody is different. I will say that vette looks nice. It's also priced well.

Awesome. Do any of the mods on it affect reliability? I will be daily driving it!

The mods looks good to me. They are all smog legal in CA if that matters.

JMO, yes the price is a little high. December 2014 I bought a 1 owner 2004 Z06 black on black with 18,881 miles that was garage kept. I paid 25,500 for it which I believe was a fair deal. I would go no higher than 26,000 for it. I think 26,000 is a fair price. again JMO Good luck with your search. Take your time the deals are out there.
