Go to any Chevy dealer with the VIN and they can get a detailed service history report that will tell you exactly what services were performed and then you will know why it was a buy back car. They used to do it for free but they may charge for it now.

Ok, I went to the Dealer today. First off, anyone can call or go in with the VIN and this information is available.

There was nothing that stood out in terms of the Buy Back. Meaning, the engine wasn't replaced 3 times or the transmission wasn't replaced 3 times...or at all!

The front calipers were replaced. The right front door speaker was replaced. The tech showed me the screen he was looking at and he was bewildered as to why it was bought back.

buy back can be something pretty insignificant. I bought a new 87 442 olds and I had them buy it back. All you need is three things. Mine were a noisy lifter that they fixed, a speedometer that quit working (gear stripped and was fixed)and issues I had with the paint. The deal breaker for me was the paint. It was a colar that they sprayed and found out didn't harden properly and every time you washed it it shows swirls that had to be buffed out. they offered to repaint the whole car but I opted to go the buy back. main reason was there was a new grand national on the showroom floor and I wanted it bad.
