Default WTB: Corvette 6-7K

I am looking for a manual, targa with digital climate control.

Do note I am in Canada, so hopefully seller can help me with paper work.

Seller will not have to help with shipping, I will come and drive the car home.

There's one local to my area (SF bay area). Car has ~273,000 miles on it, and needs a bit of work to be really driveable, but it's in your price range.

6K might be a little far fetched for a decent car...However Im located in NJ and just started checking out some C5s(Coming out of a C4 ZR1)..Im sure some will disagree and may not like it..From what Ive seen C5 prices declined at a normal pace when the C6 was released as is to be expected...Since the debut of the C7 Ive noticed C5 prices drop rapidly...Especially in the S.East....Ive seen very nice examples with under 100k on the clock selling in the 10-12k range..Some stockers,,some modded...Just because people may be asking 20K+ doesnt mean they're sellin em..Alot of the cars on this very classified section proves it as some of them have been for sale for months. This is prime Corvette selling season..If the car is still for sale then it is probably priced to high..Demand dictates true market value..Many sellers tend to include they're many years of love,,time,,money,,and busted knuckles in the price..However we rarely get it back...Myself included as Ive sold many cars over the years and took a real washin...People are gonna say that guys like us are lowballers,dreamers,,ect...Im on here everyday just waiting to pounce at the right time on the right C5 as it seems they are the very best bang for the buck...

You might get lucky and find one for 8k in need of TLC.

The C5 market will never drop as low as the C4's market did. The C5 is a much better car in every aspect. No offense, but you couldn't even give me a C4 for free.

I agree with that. I'm currently trolling for a frc roller in good shape for under 7k and I'm having trouble which is no surprise. Of course I'm partial to a Nassau Blue FRC which fetch a premium. But open to red and other colors. Just anything but silver and pewter. Good luck with your hunt and let me know how it turns out

I'm quite mechanically inclined. So for me, it's just about having the chassis to work on.

If you can go up to $7500 I've got a clean running/driving car that just needs a little work.

C4 is better than C1, C2, and C3.....so by your thought process it should be worth more since you argue the C5 won't be as cheap as C4 as it is a better car in every way. That isn't how it works. Many factors.

It may not drop as low for C5s but remember time/value/money. 10k in say 5 years isn't worth the same as 10k now. But 10k in 5 years will be easier to attain than 10k now.

I agree on him finding a C5, for 8k but it will need plenty if work.

C5 is a good car but C6 is better in every aspect. No offense.

The c5 is probably as cheap now as it will ever get to find one for under 10k is not that common especially if you want to start with a decent car.

lol if anyone ever offers you a C4 for free, I or any of the guys from the C4 section will gladly take it! From what I hear (from guys who've driven or owned both C4s and C5s) C5s are better in every aspect.. except how fun they are to drive
