If the Odometer some times works, what are the actual miles on the car?
My short answer is that I don't know the answer to your question, the last time that I remember looking at it was 90 something. I don't know if it worked any time after that.
My guesstimate would be 93,152 miles so my statement of "about 90k" was way off. Here is how I made my guesstimate.
When it had just turned over to 89k I posted here on the forum asking a question "I'm coming up on 90k miles are there any suggestions about specific maintenance I should be doing at 90k?" The last time I remember paying attention I realized I had passed 90k. The gauges, speedometer in the dash and in the heads up display is all I paid attention to. I bought the car 1/13 at 76k and asked that question at 89k on 9/22/15. If I drove 13k in 21 months my guess is 619 miles per month. If I figure 8 months since 9/22/15 I would add those miles (8 x 619 = 4952) to 89k to have my best guesstimate being 93,152 miles. So when I said about 90k I was way off.
Is this car in pretty good running condition? I'm moving to Cali (irvine) for school and am very interested in getting a corvette when I move down.
Sorry I didn't get back to you, I just now saw this post. The car is in perfect mechanical condition. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Anything that it needs I do it and don't cut corners. I am an aircraft mechanic and i like things to be right.
