I am selling my 2004 Corvette coupe in the stunning and rare color combination of silver with torch red interior. This car is bone stock and ready for you to transform into your dream Corvette. Or keep it all original for decades of collectibility. Please take a look at the FAQ and photos below.
Why are you selling this car?
I keep asking myself the same question. Sometimes, you have to be a grown up and do the right thing. I have a kid on the way so I need to streamline my budget.
What is the condition of the car?
This car is in excellent condition. It has some wear that can be expected for a vehicle with 87K miles on it (i.e., minor rock chipping on bumper and hood, some damage underneath rocker panels, etc.). However, as you can see from the pictures, the car maintains an excellent appearance and has been kept very clean during my ownership.
Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition. There is one small exception, which will be explained later in the posting. Many of the known C5 corvette inconveniences have occurred and been repaired in my ownership such as: falling hud, dim HVAC display, and a broken shifter grommet. The steering column does not lock so there is no concern over the dreaded column lock issue. The rear wheel bearings were replaced roughly 3K miles ago. The coolant and differential fluid have been replaced with GM recommended fluids in the last year. The car receives regular oil changes with Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic and filter. The spark plugs and wires were replaced at 75K miles.
What’s wrong with the car?
The only issue with the car pertains to the shifter cable. I have not addressed this problem because it has no impact on my ability to drive the car. If the transmission is manually placed in first gear (shifter cable fully extended), it will be stuck in that position due to the cable fastener extending outside of the metal cable sleeve. It can be re-seated by dismantling the shifter and manually guiding it back in. The last time I checked, a new cable can be procured for about $50 dollars; the replacement procedure is relatively easy if you have a quality jacking system. The dealer will do it for about $250. As stated previously, this has not impacted my ability to drive the car because Park, Neutral, Reverse, Drive, 3, and 2 do not experience this issue. If you intend to manually select 1st gear with the shifter, be prepared to fix this. Therefore, the asking price is reduced by $250.
You don’t have the title in hand? How does that work?
This is easy. After we finalize the transaction, you leave with the car, keys, and bill of sale. Once my bank sends me the title, I sign it and mail it to you.
Summary
Buying this car was one of the best things my wife and I have ever done. We’ve gotten an immense amount of joy out of owning it - trips to the beach, date nights, country drives. Right now would be the perfect time for some top-off driving through the blue ridge mountains. I’m certain that you will enjoy this car as much as we did and for many years to come. If you are interested and would like more information or if you’d like to see it in person, give me a call and we can arrange a time. My phone number is 704 258-0nine65. Thanks for looking.
ASKING PRICE - $14,000 CASH ONLY or best offer

I have the manuals (and bonus: seat belt covers ) in original condition.
I do not have the window sticker or build sheet. For the benefit of all, I will add a picture of the glove box sticker later this afternoon.
I received both keys but only 1 FOB.
Speaking for my uncle and myself, we have not done any racing with the car. This has been simply a weekend/vacation cruising machine.
Please let me know if I can answer any more questions.
Regards,
Bryant.

Looks as if someone... spilled a bit of tea on the manual cover?... Wasn't me. Full disclosure though.
