Also the new color of 2004 is Luxar Blue and not Lemans Blue.

Thank you for your offer, however; I have an in house web designer and while we are still learning ,we have received many comments on our site. Since we work together, I believe I will continue in this realm at the moment.

As far as the color, according to GM's Auto Book and The Vehicle Order Maintenance system in which we order our Corvettes the color is being
listed as "LeMans Blue". If GM doesn't have it correct then we will have to let them know. Thanks for looking though. I am sure they will be happy to change it if they are wrong.

Karl, I got the build sheet from my Z06/Z16 last Friday. It was sequence & VIN # 550. The color is listed as 19U LUXO BLUE. :seeya

That's great but until GM makes the change to their order system and their Auto Book I will continue with what they have given to me. It may be a mistake but it is in print. Also Dave Hill referred to it as "LeMans Blue" in Nashville. Except that he pronounced it as " LeMon ".

I understand that there seems to be some confusion. I too was in Nashville and personally heard Dave Hill refer to the Color as "Lemans Blue". The reason I remember is because of the way that he pronounced it using the French word that sounds like LeMon. Since everyone here feels so confident, I went back into my 2004 order guide and the 2004 GM autobook and everything referes to the color as LeMans Blue. So guys, I don't doubt that you heard what you heard but I also do not doubt what is printed in the offical order system of General Motors. All I am saying is take your case to GM, I will continue to call it LeMans until GM changes the information that they are putting out to the dealers.

Hey Guys...

At the 50th ZZ Top concert I was sitting next to a guy that works in Paint at the plant. He stated as of then when the cars come through, the NAME for 19U up to that point was LUXO BLUE. He commentted about the name, as we were discussing the color. I suspect it probably a name change from the Marketing, or other depts. even though the code stayed the same.

Am I mistaken... or is it the same paint code as Navy Blue Metallic from a few years ago? :crazy:

The Navy Blue color was actually color code # 28 at the time. If any of you here on the forum are interested in seeing that GM is still calling the color LeMans Blue # 19 in the Vehicle Order Maintenance system, I will be happy to fax you a copy of my order # GGWCPS for the Commemorative Coupe if you will supply me with your fax number. I do not have a scanner but if I can find one, I will be happy to post this on the Net for all to see.
