Default Fuel pressure question... What's your average fuel pressure?

My fuel pressure gauge usually reads 58#. Today it was only 56#.
I have seen it as high as 70#.

Does your fuel pressure vary from day to day?

By the way, this is with the 04 fuel system. I also have the
Boost-a-pump installed.

I'm going to have the fuel rail monitored to see if it matches my fuel pressure gauge.

Thanks in advance.

Mine runs from 57# to 64#. Depends on the air temp. The warmer it is the lower the pressure. Also long trips seem to make it run lower as well. Was told that when the fuel gets warm the pressure will decrease.
I have a racetronix set up.

Mine stays around 60psi, > or <. Im running a '97,'98 return flow fuel system, Siemens 60lb injectors with a Racetronix pump and a BAP. It's pretty consistent.

Unless you have a 97-98 fuel system, your pressure should be between 58-60. There is a regulator in your fuel filter that is supposed to bleed off excess fuel pressure back into the tank.

From Hot fuel to Cold fuel I get a 3psi fluctuation at the rail but only when not in boost. Once I'm into the throttle it's rock solid and climbing steady regardless. '98 system with BAP, in-line pump, surge tank, and boost reference.

Thanks for all the replys and good info. Mine does seem to be on the low side. I need to verify that the boost-a-pump is doing its job as well.

Also, mine never increases in pressure while under boost as some of you have mentioned. It may just be part of the 04 systems.

I would be curious as to what fuel pressures other 04's are experiencing as well.

Thanks again.

the 04' will not increase pressure with boost. It should stay steady and you may see a 1-2psi drop in the higher load situations...
