402 w/ Maggie in the 10's
Not my car, but a freind of mine who I've followed his progress with this setup. He doesn't post, so I'm posting this for him.
’01 Z06
LS2 based 402ci
H-Beam rods, Diamond NOS Piston, Hellfire Rings, Eagle Crank
LS6 style Patriot Heads
228/232/ 115lsa
Polished I/C Maggie w/ 2.6 Pulley
ECS 8 Rib Pulley System & Alky Kit
80 mm Throttle Body
Vararam Intake
TPIS 1 3/4 LT w/ Random Cats & Borla Mufflers
Spec Stage 3 Clutch
Stock gearing
Stock Lingenfelter Maggie tune.
Self tuned with Timing Tuner, and MAS Air Translator
First time out, with 300 kms on the motor, she did a best of 10.94 @ 129 mph, coming off idle. On other runs, cars hit 131 mph.
Consistantly hits over 102 mph on the 1/8th.
And all of this running rich as a pig for safety.
Car’s tune was leaned out for the following trip to the track, but alas, w/o a 6 point cage, they wouldn’t even tech him in…..
With a boost gauge, Maggie was hitting 8.5 lbs. of boost.
And who’s said that a Maggie can’t feed enough CFM for big power?
With a 90mm throttle-body and the rear pulley set replaced with an under-drive kit, car still has mo-power to be had, stay tuned!
Life is good when you have a street & smog legal 10 sec. car with no lag to be found. Car's torque is is the same at 2000 rpm as it is at 6000 rpm. D/R shreading is only a flick of the fun pedal away, at any rpm.
Many thanks to Perce Automotive for removing the stock LS6 motor and building and installing the LS2 402 and Maggie in 4 days!
And Chris at Scoggin & Dickdy for the LS2 based motor.

Your buddy has a fast car - that is for sure, however, a 129-131 MPH trap speed with a 400+ ci motor doesn't prove the maggie at all IMO. That MPH has been obtained many many times with stock cube motors. Still a very fast car and I'm sure it's a ball on the street.

Wow!, this doesn't look or sound right. You know what they say, without the dyno and timeslip. I would love for it to be true. I've got a Maggie and struggling to get everthing I can out of it.

What kind of power is this setup making?
I am looking to add boost to my 408 and all I've heard was that the maggie can't handle the extra cubes......
Dyno graph would be greatly appreciated.

You may just make it worthwile enough to go through the trouble.
Albiet, I don't give a flying hoot if you believe it or not.
Now I know why he didn't want to bother posting about his setup.

I'm just waiting for my Z06 to come out of Caravaggio's shop, then were going to a local performance shop that offered to dyno our cars for free. They were at the track when we were running our cars, and were impressed with our numbers.
Once we do get it dyno'ed, I promise to post it.

He's going to get his car dyno'ed in a week or two.
