**** *Closing in on 150MPH trap speeds, New best today ( 9.331 at 149.18 ) *****
I had a great day at Atco today ( actually the best day ever for me since I bought my C5 brand new back in 99 ) , I set another new personal best for me and the car . I have to thank Brent for calling me from the track this morning and giving me the heads up that the track was empty , skys were sunny and the air was good (low to mid 40's), Brent was there running his SRT hemi . I headed down about 20 minutes after I talked to Brent . That's what I love about my Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radial set up , no trailer to load , no tires to change , hop in the car and drive to the track , air down the tires and run .
Here's a breakdown of the slip
60ft-1.369
330ft -3.919
1/8th- 6.018 at 117.31
1/4 mile-9.331 at 149.18
I ran the car at the same boost level ( 13lbs )as last time out , the only changes I made were I ran the car lighter on a 1/2 tank of fuel , last time I ran with a full tank . And I was able to launch a little bit higher today ( 2500rpm ) foot brake stall .
I also had Cartek lower my 2-3 shift point before they left for their vacation to Florida , the car is still hitting the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift , so I know there's more in the car as it sits , if I can get rid of the 2-3 hiccup .
I just about ripped myself out of my locked 5-point harness when I saw the slip . The car picked up about a tenth on every run today . First pass , as soon as I got there was a 9.51 , second pass , 9.45 , and then the 9.33 on the third , I wanted to make another run but they closed the staging lanes at 3:30 , who knows , maybe it would've broke into the 9.20 at 150 mark if I kept going .
I can honestly say , if it never runs a hundreth quicker , I have exceeded my goals big time with this turbo kit . I never excpected it to be this fast with such great drivability . It really is as low budget as you can get when it comes to a turbo , (rear-mount single , with stock exhaust manifolds ) , the kit cost 6000.00 installed and it's knocking on the door of 150mph traps and 8-second 1/4 mile times ( if the trans will hold more boost) . It's a true testament to Cartek's ability to make this " no frills " turbo kit fly down the track . Thanks again to the Cartek crew , Julio , Dave , Roy , Rich and Mike . And to Rick Squires at STS Turbo for creating the rear-mount turbo concept , Cartek made a custom rear mount for me and my results speak for themselves .
Brent caught the 9.33 pass on video from the stands , and I have the timeslip , I just need someone to tell me how to post it , I don't have a scanner , I usually just give my slips to Julio from Cartek , and he posts them for me .

Bigtime Congrats Mike -- Tremendous ET and MPH
I got to see the turbo up close and it is sweet!! The turbo is tucked up nicely and there is a lot of clearance.
