Guys I have access to an LS6 cam and valve springs CHEAP, should I get teh LS6 cam or leave the stock cam in place?

Keep in mind that the car will be apart anyway to pin the crank.

Thanks

you think it would be worthwhile even if only changing to the LS6 cam?

Also, I assume the stock LS6 valve springs will be ok, correct?

Also, what length pushrods should I go with?

You will make MORE POWER with the LS6 cam which happen to be very supercharger friendly cams!! Since your in there anyways and can pick it up for cheap seems to make good sense from a dollar to horespower ratio!!!

I would put at least 918 springs in it. If the heads haven't been milled, I would use stock length, hardened pushrods.

So you think the stock LS6 springs aren't enough?? I already have the cam and valve springs in hand.

Going to be using the Thunder Racing 7.4 pushrods.

I have researched this issue add nauseum of whether the stock Z06 springs are fine with a Z06 cam on a stock cubed motor that is using a centrigual supercharger and won't be spun past 6500. Most tuners including ECS told me to leave my stock Z06 springs in place as they should be fine and so far so good. Now if your going to shift past 6500 or go with a cam more aggressive than a stock LS6 cam, then definitely upgrade the springs to at least the 918s but better yet a dual spring like the comp 921 or patriot dual golds!!

I also know of several guys running the stock springs with their superchargers in their Z06s (stock LS6 motors) without any issues!

Don't think it will be spinning that high. What does the the LS6 cam normally rev to?

6500 max. But max power range 5500-5800rpm.

One tip is to use a Gates laser alignment tool when installing the blower. Without every stinking pulley aligned just perfectly you'll get slip at best and chuck / rip belts at worst.
