Default Big Boost CURE

Water methanol will allow you to run high boost like that. It retards detonation by keeping everything clean and cool. 15 lbs of boost can be ran safely on a LS2. Devils, Snow, or build your own.

Nice. A 9yr old thread revived.

I don't agree with the water part. Would run Alky Control before any other for many reasons.

I see a "How much boost can a bored LS6 block handle" down in the similar threads recommendation.

I'm sure that one will be getting revived any day now.

I'll just have to wait to see how my new 427 works out. If it breaks 800rw, I'll be thrilled.

There is a new Z06 for 2006, it will have a 427 and make 505HP.

that's fine, so long as they don't boost it to the moon... 400+ci can't handle it

I predict a factory supercharged C6 ZR1 and C7ZO6. Both well over 600 HP from the factory.

No way, you are just dreaming. Those things blow up engines anyway.

Looking at a warhawk for another car. You may want to consider the iron block if you want that much boost and don't want to spend the $$.
I had a LS2 block with all of the good parts in it, Plus had the main caps pinned into the block so the mains would not walk with high HP.

I ran over 19 psi of boost with a YSI on it with almost 1,k RWHP on a mustang dyno. I had no problems with my motor at all. It may be also with this much rwhp the person that build the motor didn't do that good of a job...

Then again may just been a part that gave out on him also. Would be better if Doug post what it done from the parts in the motor when he gets it apart.
