Default Racetronix fuel pump Problem

I recently installed a ECS NOVI 2000 with the Racetronix fuel pump, hot wire kit and 60 lb injectors. I have put about 500 miles on the car. this morning on the way to work, cruising along, the car just dies. I noticed a loss of fuel pressure and checked the fuse going to the pump. This is the 20A fuse near the alternator. It is blown I replace it and the car starts back. The car runs fine, but then dies again about a block from my house. Went to replace the fuse and it blows immediately. Obviously there is a short somewhere either in the power supply leading to the pump or inside the pump itself. The only thing that I can think that I did this weekend that might remotely affect the pump is washing the car and filling the fuel tank. Anyone had problems with a pump shorting out internally? I have a hard time believing the wire running to the rear is shorting out. I zip tied it to the fuel lines.

BTW I posted this in the FI section due to more Racetronix users in this area.

Thanks
Chris

Before you remove the pump, try bypassing the hotwire kit and see if it blows your fuel pump fuse in the fuse block. Just and idea.

Nevermind, I found the problem. Fixed and back up running. I like it when problems turn out to be easy fixes.

What was it?! I'm about to install the exact same kit and I'd like to learn from other people.

My problem turned out to be a loose wire contacting the header and grounding out. I am glad it was an easy fix.
