Default Mp112 Hh

We'll, I sent my supercharger in to Magnuson for the intercooler upgrade and added an MP112HH to the setup and they pulled the MP112 off and will send it back to me. I also got a GTO front bearing support, 90MM vette inlet and a 90mm GTO inlet so I could mount this thing on a C5 or F-Body. David at Magnacharger told me they put the last set of MP112 HH housing they had on it so they won't be selling them anymore unless you happen to find a built unit floating around. He did tell me they will have plenty of the MP122 HH's though if anyone's interested. If I decide to by the Magnuson TVS 2300 I'll sell the everything I have and post it here. The kit will consist of the items above, an MP112 unit, an MP112HH unit complete with box 2 kit (everything needed for a first time install including stickers and liscense plate frames), 1 - 90mm GTO long inlet, 1 - 90mm vette inlet, and 1 -GTO front bearing support if you want to install the GTO inlet for an F-body. I posted this thing for sale last year with less than 1800 miles on it and now it's pretty much completely new with full Magnuson warranty and a tune. I really didn't post to sell the kit just yet but mainly to say I purchased the last MP112 HH at Magnuson.

Wow. That's alot of money for such a little gain. I looked into it a couple of times and just couldn't justify it, so I sold it and am starting over. I was quoted 3600+ for a 122 upgrade. Let us know what you end up gaining from the upgrades.

I don't believe there are any plans in the works for a TVS for C5s. At least that's the last info I had.

PM the info price for you set up. I have a friend that want me to put a Maggie on his C5.

So with this new set-up what is the target outcome?

From what RWHP to RWHP are you supposed to get?

Or is this basically for strength?

Just curious

Thanks,Matt

I'm targeting 540 plus HP if I'm lucky from a baseline of 420. I currently have Patriot ported 243 heads an MTI G1 cam that will work for now but I'll probably swap it out.

As far as the TVS goes you're correct, no C5 applications. I was hoping for one similar to the video they have but David said that setup has custom pullies and parts.

Magnacharger talked me out of the MP122 because of the stock LS6 lower end. They said they're getting better results out of the MP112HH on a stocker vs the MP122 but I've heard different also. I figured the 112HH would be easier to sell also vs the 122 since alot of people like to keep the stock lower end. $1534 for the MP112 upgrade wasn't that bad and you have to look at the safety factor of the MP112HH vs the standard MP112. The 112 High Helix employs a 60-degree twist in the rotors to form a helix that creates a more efficient flow of air that reduces temperature. This means the discharge air is cooler and will provide more HP because of the denser air which will able to run a more aggressive tune, which also results in an HP gain.

The helix on the left is the standard 60° rotor. The one on the right is the same as the TVS and is a 4-lobe with a 160° twist. Look at the amount of rotation from beginning to end. You can see that it's 160°. If that is in fact the rotor you have, that is the same rotor they are using in the TVS, but smaller in displacement. You should be able to up the boost significantly without the IAT increases that the standard 112 created.

No, it's not what I'm getting put in I was using it as an example. The mp112 is a 3 lobe screw design. I will post some pics of the 112 rotor though.

I believe the HH is a high twist 3 lobe whereas the TVS is a 4 lobe.

I have heard of the HH and was told it was only 10 more degrees of twist. When I saw that picture of the rotor on the right, I was getting excited for you thinking they actually put TVS rotors in for you! What a treat that would have been!

No doubt! I'd love that!! I just reseceived another phone call telling me the last 112HH screws were sold before they got to mine. Now they have to give me an MP122 in it's place. Damn the luck!!

You will be able to make 600rwhp safely with the 122. Good luck with your rear tires though!

Sweet, I can't wait! Anyone know where I can find a set of 18x9 and 18X11 Z06 or C6 wheels with 5 - 5 1/2" bolt battern without adding adapters? I see TomzWheels has some C5 and Z06 knock offs.
