ON the STS cars, you need to run oil restrictors, especially on BB turbos because they require less oil flow than journal bearing turbos.

Depends on what turbos you're using as to if and how much of a restrictor you might use. Are you blowing oil?

The company who makes the kit should already have this issue worked out, but if you bought up-grade turbos or the turbos were not in the kit, they you have to get restrictors that are for your application.

I'm not blowing oil but I am getting low oil pressure.

As you probably know, journal bearing turbos need more oil than ball bearings.
I would get with tech support at Precision Turbo and Engineering or some comparable company and see what they recommend.

I had to put oil restrictors on my car after getting it back from the PTK install. I have the te-44 also and my car smoked like a freight train without them.

I just talked to precision turbo's and they said i wouldn't need them on journal bearing turbo's. Is there a reason why you put them on? Were you getting low oil pressure without them?

I wasn't getting low oil pressure there was just to much oil going to the turbos and every time you gave it any throttle it smoked a ton. I know Nick Yoskin also had to put restrictors on his PTK kit because of the smoke.

I don't have those issues for some reason.

Turbo's aren't going to be the cause of low oil pressure. What pressure's are you seeing at idle and at 2k rpm? What weight oil are you running?

At warm idle I'll see as low as 8psi.
