Default A&A Vortech V3 Questions

I am really interested in buying this kit but I have never owned or rode in a centrifugal blower car so I am really a newb to these kits. I do know that if I get the kit is that it will be a V3, due to the self contained oil system. My question is what is the difference between the Si-trim and the T-trim Vortech units. Also, how do these stack up vs. the Procharger D1SC's. Thanks

the Si trim is just a bit smaller. the T trim is good for about 800-850 and the Si trim has seen 700. The D1SC is comperable to the T trim.

Vortech shows the Si trim to be good for 775hp vs the T trim good for 825.

Procharger shows the D1SC good for up to 925

The A&A system is an excellent design and will be your best chance for not having belt slip issues. Even if you ended up with a Procharger, you'll probably end up wanting an A&A bracket to alleviate any belt slippage.

Can somebody post a vid of the sound of their Vortech and if they have the Turbosmart BOV A&A gives you. I've heard that Vortech is pretty much silent. I want some noise with mine.

Not really any difference. They both have the helical gears in them.

You can hear it at idle, but have to listen for it. Not obnoxious, but slight whistle. Car will fly! I went with the self contained as well as I didn't want to tap the oil pan in my garage. I'm loving life about now.

Do they get louder at idle the more you pulley down? Kit looks great but I LOVE the sound a D1SC makes....

I'm on stock internals, so I don't dare pulley down. Cruising thru a car show, people will hear it. people on the street won't hear it until it's too late!
