Default Just bought the A&A kit for my C5Z!!

I am so stoked! My car has 19k miles, is bone stock and will be installing American Racing 1 7/8 headers and the A&A kit at the same time. I went with the V2 head unit, etc.

Andy gave me a great deal and I recommend that you call him! My dream car is becoming reality.

Chris

Just for the hell of it, rwhp predictions with the same mods?

~550rwhp but depends on what pulley you run. It'll make more power than your engine/clutch can probably handle

Guess you went the other way! Congrats I'm sure you will love it! I have been back and forth on selling all my stuff and getting blown myself. Until I actually get around to installing my stuff I have my eye out for a great deal!

Probably a 3.8 pulley. Better get a clutch quick. Then tires.

I asked Andy about a clutch and he said to run it until a new one is needed. I change the fluid religiously and hope to make it last.

Hate to say it but it won't. My stock clutch had 21k (10k with the mods) on it with a cam and bolt ons and almost from day 1 it would not hold the power at 426rwhp. That was with easy driving, no hole shots. Can't imagine another 125+rwhp on the stock clutch being much fun.

Congrats on the Supercharger, that's awesome!

Definitely do a clutch man, you won't be able to shift when you get on it. Happened to me and I had no idea what was going on at first.

With a cam only I was in the 420 wheel range and could only go through 3 gears before the clutch freaked out and wouldn't let me shift.
I believe the stock clutch is only good for like 370 ft/lbs.

I'm running a SPEC Stage 3+ with the aluminum flywheel and it's been working great.

I've been using the original Ls1 clutch for 24k boosted miles. 480rwhp for 3 years, 512rwhp for the last year with no issues. 131k miles total. Some people need clutches, others don't.

Congrats man! Im in the same boat as you with my 03 Z!

I bought a lightly used V2 Si kit from a forum member. Wont have it all installed till June sometime. Have lots of other stuff to do first. Plus the money tree needs to grow again.

Will be running a 3.6 pulley and an Alky Control kit for starters. I have LG long tubes. Hoping for 625 rwhp on a safe tune. Id say your kit no meth and 3.8 with headers, you should make an easy 575 rwhp! Let us know when you get some numbers!!!

ya, pretty much the same 'clutch' advice I got. I think my clutch and my rear end made it a few weeks. I made 2 passes at Vegas Motor Speedway and that did it in. Drove back to LA at 60mph... albeit 35 mpg avg! lol.
