Default Best All Around Tires for FI?

My car is just about done and I am looking for the best all around tire for the street, I have 19s in the rear and was looking for the best all around tire for traction, rain, cornering etc. I know I am not going to get complete traction with close to 800rwhp but at least have the best tire out there for it.

just slapped a set of Proxes 1's on my TT car and retired a set of R888's.

the Proxes 1 is spendy but they handle great and are quiet.

at big power however, you can basically melt anything on the market so ride and quiet were my highest priorities.

Only bad in rain and that is for sure... But man they hook up better than any street tire on the street. But I drive my car ever day but just a few miles is all..So the tires do last for a good little time. When I did talk with Bret he really liked the R 888,s Better than any tire that he had on his car.... Robert

Nitto 555 RII's. Same drag radial compound and stickiness, but slight change in the compound and much stiffer sidewalls. It's the road course version of the same drag radial for insane road holding and cornering. That's the tire your looking for.

What about the NT01? Has anyone tried these out?

The NT01 and the NT05R have higher dry performance than the NT555R and NT555RII but the latter two have better wet performance. NT01 and NT555RII are both road course radials whereas the other two are drag radials.

I am going to mount them on 19x11 C6Z repros.

I did a measurement of the rim from the outside and got 12 3/8. So I'm going to mount these and see how they will look. I feel confident that they will look fine.

Sounds like you need 2 sets of tires, 1 set of DRs, and a set for trips and long driving!

Buying any kind of street tire with 800hp is pointless! You will never be able to use the 800!
