Hey Bret, post up a pic of my F1R when you get it out of the box so we don't confuse the folks here with that pic of the massive F1x.

The F1X is definitely bigger then the F1r.

The F1X above is NOT going on my car. Mine is just a little F1R...

Default Knew this was going to happen

Seems like 900whp builds are becoming the norm on here with the YSI's and the F-series s/c'ers. Glald i'm already there at 24psi boost with my F-1c.
Very nice build and your in good hands(Bret). Just make sure Bret doesn't talk you into getting 250 or 300 shot of pills.

Yeah, it's a wee bit hot at times, but we go from air conditioner to air conditioner, so it's no big deal. I would much rather deal with the heat than the cold. Besides we have the best Mexican food in Texas!!

I appreciate the kind words Bob.

No juice going on this thing yet.

Here's more pics of the work I've gotten done so far. I'm about to run out of stuff to do until the motor gets here. I also installed a Tick master, but there's not much to see of that. I forgot to mention that I'm installing a Mcleod RXT on the car too.

new fuel system install is complete. The Boost A Pump was already in place. I cleaned it up some and moved it over to the secondary pump. I put a Lingenfelter pump in the tank along with a Racetronix harness.
I clearanced the rear cover to get around the new bulkhead fitting that I installed in the tank.

Keeping with the theme under the hood, I put some braided loom on the Alky Control line and painted the brass check valve

This is all you're going to see of the factory fuel system under the hood. No tees no regulators.

Bret, really do like the fuel set up on this under the hood. I am going to have to copy this soon man. Hope you dont care man. I have to clean all of my crap up under the hood like moving the coils and new tall set of V/covers. This is going to be one nice build.. Robert

Was the previous 622whp setup running methanol injection? I'd like to go the supercharged route, low to mid 500s, but the prospect of blowing the engine in less than 20k miles keeps me worried.

Yes I had the Alky Control kit on it when it was stock engines running 100% straight meth. We have no idea why the stock #5/7 pistons lost the middle ring lands. No obvious melting or detonation clues were apparent....just two chunks of pistons gone. Everything else was absolutely perfect in the engine.. Afr was never leaner then 10.8.

Knowing what I know now, I would keep the boost no higher then 8psi on a stock engine.

You're using the stock line plumbed into the MagnaFuel manifold along with the secondary fuel feed. Is it safe to assume the two 90° fittings on the manifold will go to each rail? Will you remove the factory return line? I like it.

Your piston's look just like my 5&7 did when I pulled the stocker apart.

Glad to see its coming together.

Correct. In the name of keeping everything clean and simple under the hood, the factory line is going to the manifold and the regulator is all hidden. Once the fuel pressure is set, there's no reason to mess with it really. 1 90 to each rail and a crossover up front. Nothing more. that line next to the factory feed is the EVAP line. Not sure what we're going to do with it yet but I have an idea.

I'll start setting the intake up today. I'm quickly running out of things to do. Somebody better hurry up with the motor or else I might get bored and repaint the car a different color!!

If you're sure you want a pic of it posted up next the the F1X, I'll do it, but I'm afraid you'll end up feeling like the Burger King guy with the hands.

Did you have a rear coolant crossover tube on the back to let the super heated coolant return back to the radiator? I hear this causes hot spots in the cylinder liner on # 5 & 7. Once I rip my driveline out for the 6060 swap Im going to redo my fuel system and also do this mod.

When adding a turbo, blower or spray, one usually opens up the top ring gap so it doesn't close up, butt together and break the ring land.
Do you know if that was done on this engine Alan?

To add coolant to the back on an LS6 you can add a front coolant crossover turned around. The hose plumbing might be a bit tricky, but I'm working on that.
