Default American Racing 2" Headers-HAVE NO FEAR!!!!!!

Well for the last few years I have been ver skeptical to pull off my 1 7/8"s Kooks headers for some 2" headers.

Alot of the fears were over fitment, AC lines rubbing (Yes I still have AC cause it's not a race car).

So since I'm a American Racing dealer I called them up and ordered a set this past winter.

Last weekend I had a chance to install them, WOW-like butter. Now I am runnin a LS3 pan, but even then the just slid right in-and this is on jackstands. Driver side just slid in, passenger side same deal-no need to remove the starter.

Cleared my SFI bellhousing to boot-I was worried I would have to cut and grind it. AC lines-lots of room.

I was thoroughly impressed, Bravo to American Racing Headers!!!!!!

Now just gotta find some time to test them out!

Steppin up Arun!

We have installed them on a bunch of C5/6's now and never had any fitment issue's. Dont forget to get your EGT bungs welded on before coating them.

The kooks are nice but a pain in the azz to get in the car. I also have the late one,s that they say fit good. I had to pull starter also V/Covers then on the driver side had to also pull the P/S booster out also. To get these in with the motor in the car. Also had to have my air cond tube cut and redone also. Robert

Robert-that was my fear installing these, I didn't have to remove anything. These headers are beautiful.

Another thing to like is new placement for the 02's, there easy to get at if you have to replace them, and they come with an extra bung for the wideband for tuning that is easily accessable.

Nick, Mike, Anthony and the whole gang over there are awesome!

That's awesome man! I'm surprised the fitment was so good. I'm running a set of Kooks 1 7/8" also and as much of a PITA that was I would think 2" would be hell. American Racing really outdid themselves on this one if the install was that clean!

I would say 850 plus at the rwhp and these will help on the top end and hurt on the low end. Robert

I wish I would have gone with A/R 2" LT's. My Kooks are the suck when it comes to installing them or having to service the a/c system.

Awe... someone jealous their car is slow??

(Jay races the MIR import-domestic event and LXS rumble, the car has to be 3250lbs for his set up) 1.20 60' time, 8.4 at that weight and an LS2 stock cube block, call us when you get in the ball park.
