Who has gone the fastest the street trim with a 6 speed? Not trying to split hairs or hijack a thread bc I think it can continue with all ET's, but I think there needs to be a distinction between street cars, and trailer cars with drag packs. Not knocking anybody at all, but it gives a legitimate basis/baseline/best ET for many guys looking to mod their cars and run at the track

"Street Legal" is horse crap as that doesn't really mean anything.
I've heard through the grape-vine that there is at least one low 9 X kit setup. No one has cracked into the 8s yet from what I've heard.

Well yes going off the Corvetteforum members. I'm not sure which is more, 9.5 USA or 9.7 Canadian after the exchange rate?

FWIW mine went 9.5 on 19psi, driven to the track on 92 pump gas. And it's red.

I drive mine on the street in race trim. Meaning there is no change between my setup on the street & the track. I drive with a CCW drag pack on the street. ET Streets are DOT approved.

I run pump 93 fuel on the street & the track.

I do trailer my car to the track like everyone else who wants to know how they'll get home if they blow up. It's also nice to be able to bring extra cargo, etc in a tow vehicle.

Running in the 9s requires a full cage. Running faster than 150 MPH requires a chute.

I'd also point out that some of us run No ET / grudge so you're not going to see times posted on the web.

Rob's car ran 9.7 with just a tire change from street to track-I know this because He used my Hoosiers before he ripped off those numbers.

These were 16" CCW's front to back.

What ever the record is I'm sure Rob will reset it soon.

To be fair to this thread, it is worth mentioning that Rob's car runs his version of the TTiX kit.

I would not expect to contact any of TTi's dealers and expect Rob's results.

Not really-when Rob 9.7 it was still TTix's version of the kit.

Rob can confirm that.

Ok, I'm just trying to follow along on the web, I assumed he was running his own modifications on his car.

Maybe the 9.7 was before he modded the stock kit ???

My car did 9.7 with George's old turbos five years ago.
My kit is the same kit anyone can buy no tricks

Also we came up with the new Precision 62/65 combination with Turbonetics housing which George now offers.

Stay tune for new upgrades, We are presently working on two C6's with Comp Turbos triple ball bearing.

I apologize for upsetting you. A lot of just like to know the difference in street vs track setups, as we don't change wheel/tires down here for for the track/ or the rain, that's all I was asking.
