Me and arun installed 2" ARH on his vette and install was a breeze, fitment was damn great, heck i liked so much would be saving pennies for a 2", and iam only 347 cubes with 10 lbs boost.
Looking at 1 7/8 headers who upgrade from 1 3/4" did not loose anything under whole rpm infact gained torque and HP all over the graph.
Not much price difference between 1 7/8 and 2", i say go for 2" specially with 400+ Ci and over 15 lbs boost. 2" all the way.

There is a way to sort of guesstimate the effect on primary tube size has on engine power output. If I had to do it all over again" Id buy 2 inch headers right off the bat. Reason being is that they would almost always benefit even the most mild supercharged LSx combo. That's not to say that a guy who has less than a 2" primary must upgrade. Just my .2 cents.

I swapped kooks 1 7/8 for c6 w cat delete and really quieted down the car a ton with my stock ti's. I lost 21 lbs of torque and pu 29 rwhp. The best part is all the noise and ticking is gone!!!
