Would my block take it or im just pushing my luck ???
Ok i need your input.I already know that some facts about boost but not everything.I know that a good safe CR should be in the low 10 or high 9 but how about 11:1 CR ??? I got a fully forged 383.The quick important specs are:
-11:1 CR with PRC Stage 2.5 ls6 head
-Fully forged block with wiseco pistons(-3cc flat top)with steel top rings, callies rods and crank
-240/244 , 608/612 @ 113lsa
I did make 490whp /461wtq with a stock ls6 intake and tb on 91 oct gas .I could put a Fast 92mm intake and tb to be in the 520whp range but its not what i want.I would like to crack the 600-625 whp range. So a 110 to 135whp gain would be ok.
So if i put a gorgeous black V3-SI kit @ only 6-7psi with 94 octane gas :
-Would i reach the 600whp mark ?
-MOST IMPORTANT QUESTIONS: Is my block gonna take it?I mean by that will it still gonna be reliable or is it pushing to much at 11:1 with this cam...
I know that i could change the heads to drop the cr and maybe i could also change the cam but i really dont wanna do this for now...
Thanks
Eric

It might be ok. Hard to say until you see what kind of timing it will take on the dyno. Should easily reach your power goals. You could mix torco in each tank to get 98 octane. I would personally run meth and not be worried at that low boost level.

-Would it be possible to use 91 octane fuel with a good meth kit. Here in my area the 94 is harder to get ?
What meth kit are you suggesting me:
ECS: http://www.eastcoastsupercharging.co...mart&Itemid=29
or
AIS: http://www.alcoholinjectionsystems.c...duct_info.html
Thanks

Alky control will have landslide victory if you choose as vote system, nothing against the successful kit, i choose cooling mist CMGS kit and braided those plastic hoses comes with kit...price will be same for both kits around 600 bucks...but with cooling mist you will boost gauge and thats also progressive control built in thats plus point i consider to ALky control which is bulky too but performs equal to or better than cooling mist.
Dont you crank pin? i assume so, will be a good time slap a new GM Oem balancer there will yield 8-9 boost with 3.8' pulley, with UD pulley you need to order custom belt ask andy when you order the kit about UD pulley and belt size, so you get the correct belt.
with UD pulley and 3.8" blower pulley, you will be around 6-7 psi boost and boost wont buildup until 4-4500 rpm, never seen realistically but assuming and theoretically it will.

C6Z's are 11.5 out of the box and take 6-7 lbs without problems with meth.
and there are numerous cars with LS6 blocks making 800 rwhp and higher.
I think you'll be ok, not ideal, but ok, but definetely plan on a healthy dosage of straight meth.

You could probably lower your compression by changing heads. Sell the ones you have, buy some that havent been milled and have bigger combustion chambers

I agree. I'm not a self tuner like Username, but that's stock LS Compression territory. Lots of guys, including myself have run 10-16psi without issues. BTW, if you're making 500 now, 6-7psi on meth will most likely be 650-700rwhp and will hit hard with that compression.

Anymore thing that i should be aware ?
Thanks

ISIS SUCKS FAT CHOAD
Feed her some boost and let her eat!!
The tune is important!!
Get some really good head studs yes I said studs! ARP 2000's or ARP 625+ studs and quality head gaskets (don't skimp out on the exact studs or the exact meth kit!! Don't do it!!
Oh yes and as for the meth kit. Done even look at any meth kit except alkey control.
650 WHP will be cake!!
