It's doing OK. Still working my way back up to 20+#. Leery after the last meltdown. The lower compression and bigger snails seem to spool slower. Not noticable most of the time but I used to be able to do a 3rd gear brake boosting 60 roll and have it launch really well before but now it lags. Need to start in 2nd and quick shift to third and even then it loses boost in between shifts. Still getting it sorted.

Do you still have the 2.5" DP's or the 3"? The 3" should help with the pressure differential to get them spooling quicker. I've only been up to 16psi on mine so far, with plans for 20+. Have some transient fueling table work to do for when the boost starts ramping in. Haven't touched the tables yet, and I get a little bit of stumble from 0 to 5-6psi and then it clears up and boost shoots up to target really fast. I haven't tried a brake boost yet.. will have to give it a shot and see how it reacts. I don't know how you're getting traction brake boosting 3rd though! I can only get traction in 3rd by letting it build from 0psi and doing a short burnout on the et street II's before hand.

Oh yea, here's a pro tip on the wires: Katech. Best around and happen to be the cheapest.

Yea twist it and it'll pull out. Then it ~presses back in (by hand).

I figured that out after a couple of sets not clicking on positivetly and then just disintegrating. I ended up with Accel ceramic boot wires.

How did you install your an fittings? Did you cut the end of the hose barb off and then use a compression fitting?

can you just thread that hole and then use a female NPT to female AN fitting?

I think he's talking about using that as a vent, not blocking it off after tapping.

I don't remember exactly what clearances were under there, but I don't think it would be as easy as just tapping large enough for say a -10AN bung off of it. The baffles underneath it are very close, so you would have to cut down the NPT thread length a bit to not smash into the baffle.

I drilled out the holes I pulled the elbows from with a 1/2" drill and had -10 male fittings welded to the angled faces directly over the holes. Looks good and now I can attach my braided -10 lines to the vc's.

yea, I just pulled the stock fittings, but one broke, so I had to drill it out....looks like the stock hole size was 3/8, but I think I wallowed the one out a bit, so Im going to drop them at the local machine shop tomorrow and have them drilled to 1/2 and try a 1/2 NPT to 6 AN fitting that should work nicely with my breather that came with 6 AN fittings....or I may have just ruined one of the two valve covers....we'll see

At the worse , have AN fitting rig welded , and refinish valve covers.

so the issue isn't so much tapping the hole to accept an NPT to AN fitting, its the fact that the relief in the valve cover around the hole isn't big enough to allow even a 3/8 to 4AN fitting. Since theres an internal baffle, I may just find a straight barbed fitting that I can mount one of those small breather style K&N filters and vent it right to the atmosphere.
