Been a looooong time since I posted. Finally built a new car, NOT a corvette but still has an LS1 in it haha. Whats a rough price range for a used Procharger kit these days? Heres a pic of my custom LS1/T56 car it will be attached to

Depends on what you want with it but 3-7K for a used one from mild to wild.

With that said, if your willing to use an A&A (vortech) or an ECS (Paxton) kit there's a couple on here forsale.

Only way id use a Vortech is if the kit system was from A&A. But overall id prefer a pro charger. Id like to be 600rwhp with mild heads/cam combo ill be doing soon.

Hard to tell in the picture, but is there room for one??

Algz06 and silvz06 both have some real nice kits for sale right now at an excellent price. You'll need to check into fitment though, because that's going to effect price.

Yea theres actually alot of room. And the reason why im asking about a C5 kit is bc we basically used a C5 intake setup so it will be very close to the same.

I would buy a bracket and head unit and make the rest yourself. AandA and ECS make a bracket for a prochargers.

I don't even think that vortech makes a kit for the corvette anymore.

I agree with what sbcgenIII said.

Buy a bracket and blower, buy an intercooler and charge piping and fuel system and go fast.

That was actually my other option lol So when you say "bracket", you mean call up A&A and tell him to sell me a procharger bracket for a C5? sorry but I know nothing about pro chargers... So there are several different head types right? Which one should I get if I want to be 600rwhp? The P1? Isnt there a D1 or something like that but thats for bigger motors and such, right? Im just gonna have heads and cam.

I had a Magnacharger with my last C5 so Id just throw on a smaller pulley lol none of the other head type stuff haha

I don't think A&A makes a bracket anymore for procharger head units. They haven't used procharger in years.

Dallas performance makes one but it's pricy.

Yes many different head units out there. You should Search the FI section for any questions you may have. It sounds like you have lots to learn and it would be a good idea to do plenty of research before making any purchases. Sweet car BTW keep us updated on your progress.

A few things to consider...

1. A and bracket requires 12 inches from the head to the end of a 4 in coupler off the procharger... then some type of air filter system.. meaning 90 or filter of what have you.

2. P1sc1 is capable of 750 plus with the right setup. D1 makes more then that. Heads/cam is not needed on a blower car esp since the weight is so low.. less the 4k lbs

3.To run the c5 alternator bracket and crank or you need to adjust the spacers on the a and a bracket.

4. Id take both in the last pic.. haha goodluck

I have a nice M3 Procharger (Marine unit) used that I will sell for $2500. It has a big block chevy bracket but it might be able to be modified pretty easy or just by a new bracket.

this blower is no joke and can take you to 1000 hp plus if needed

also have a water/air intercooler rated for 1000 hp. throw that in for another 800 if desired along with a bunch of tubes and connectors

a bit of fab work for sure will be needed.

NICE car. would be cool with 800 to the tire for sure.

Just sold my P1SC that made 627whp at 8lbs boost, if you plan to go up past that Id recommend the D1SC, that's what I'm moving to next, makes the power alot easier and there's room to grow alot more..

Get notified of new replies

To So what does a procharger kit run these days used?

What mods to your motor did you have to make 627 @ only 8lbs? What kind of heads? Cam?

I need to get my hands on a P1 and see if theres room. Gonna be tight.

And STEALTH, thank you and ill let you know as soon as I find if theres enough room in the front.
