ls3 416 w nitrous vs forged ls6 with twin turbo kit?
hey guys I got a dilemma
I heard a ticking noise coming from my motor a while back , I figured the worst
so I purchased a ls3 416 longblock with eps cam and ported l92 heads , comp 12-1 and ready for nitrous
I recently tore down the ls6 to see whats going on with it and it seems like a lifter , which im replacing atm , if all goes well the ls6 will be back up its a full prc 227 head fast intake eps cam setup ,
ive been considering selling the ls3 longblock and buying a twin turbo kit and forged pistons , h beam rods and arp main studs
what path would you guys take , its mainly a street car and roll racer at 1/2 mile events , some track days and a weekend car

How much power are you looking to make and is the car a daily driver or just something to have fun with?
I vote for stock engine and some form of forced induction. You can make from 500 to 1000 rwhp with a ttix kit and never have to make any changes to the actual kit. You can make the same power with a centrifugal supercharger kit, but it will require pulley changes and/or head unit swaps along the way.
Either should be fully capable of providing you with the power you want.

Put good rods/pistons/studs in which ever engine you go with.

LS3 416 plenty of power with heads cam...etc, for 1/2 mile nitrous. since you drive mostly street 500-600 Rwhp NA will be way more than enough and nitrous for track with race fuel mix....done. No headache for cramped engine with extra 100 lbs FI gadgets, methanol, gauges fuel system....so on.
I enjoyed nitrous on my C4 more than SC kit on my C5.

I ran a 416 with nitrous for a few years. It was always fun until the bottle ran low which was always the most less than convenient time. A well setup up boosted motor as a street cruiser is so much better than a huge camn'd stroker in daily style driving. From my experience.
