What compressor wheel is in the stock TTIX turbos? Is it the 57 trim?

For the original TTiX Turbonetics turbos,

Compressor housing is a T04B-H. Compressor wheel is a T04B Super H. Compressor wheel major diameter is 76.2mm and the minor diameter is 57.7mm.

Turbine side is a Turbonetics T3 5-bolt housing. You could get them in a 0.63 or 0.82 A/R. Turbine wheel is an F1-62. Turbine wheel major diameter is 71mm and the minor diameter is 61.8.

So do you think it is the T04B H-3 on this list?

Devin, thanks for clearing that up. I've always heard that the APS flange was different. Now it makes sense as to why the DKT housing is capable of increased power.

Do you have any comments on the airflow limit of the 6265s on a TTiX kit?

I don't see the actual hole in the flange being the actual restriction in any of these t3 type housings. The hole on all of the housings (t3 v-band, t3 , APS, etc) have way more area than the actual volute where the turbine resides. You can't compare t4 a/r to t3 either. The best thing about the APS/DKT housing is that it is a 1.06 a/r so the biggest of the bunch.

About the best thing you will get away with on your 5 bolt housings with be running the .82 a/r(which you had) and upping the turbine to a f1-65. I see Champion did a Comp turbo with a 66mm wheel, but the material on the housing looks so damn thin at that point.

It definitely wasn't those rod bolts that everyone says are weak on the LS1 and won't hold more than 500hp. The rod bolts are still doing their job. I'll probably reuse them in the next engine.
It sounds like thats what happened to me .. it pretty much looks like the piston bottomed out .. i drove through water once and the car died , pushed it out . when i went to start it the motor would not turn .. after i taped the key about 10 times i finally got the water out and it started lol

Yes, I think it shows what is possible. It would be nice to see the log of the manofold pressure and what size injectors were used. I also wish they would have put it in a car and performed similar testing on the dyno and at the track. I wonder what A/R the turbo housings were on the twin 76s?

Because of other items discussed in this thread, I'm going to post this link to one option for Turbonetics 62-1 wheels in a B cover. I'm not sure if they are still available, but this is probably the cheapest way to get 6265s. I'm not sure of all the specs on them.

Ben, the customer he referenced in that was me Of course now I got rid of the 5-bolt housing and went to 3" v-band and slightly bigger a/r but that won't work on ttix manifolds. Shoot Jon at Huron Speed "Superman09" a note and he can set you up with a good deal on a pair of those 62/65's. Might ask about the new billet 61's too if you're going to stick with a B-cover. They probably flow more than the cast 62-1's.

Were you waiting on an invitation? I could use the help on my first rebuild. How much experience do you have?

I figured I would finish this one off with some pics of the main bearings. I never did post up any pictures. There is some wear both nothing out of the ordinary for an 86k engine that saw 7000 rpm repeatedly and over 800 rwhp.
