Default Compressor MAP reading

1) Why Vortech rate the V3 Si at 1150cfm and give a +1300cfm on his MAP (at max rating of 52k) ?
MAP here : http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/pdf/si_cmap.pdf

2) As it's seems to be very commom to overspin a vortech, according to his graph, if overspin at 60k (max rating is 52k) shoud be +100Lb/Min, and because of rule 1 Lb/Min = 10 FWHP, can hit 1000FWHP instead of 775HP (vortech rating), no ?

Other rule, 7000rpm and 1bar(14.7psi) of boost give 1.61 lb/min for each 100cc

So, a 383ci(6276cc) give 101.0436lb/min... exactly were the virtual 60k line should finish at 2bar (=1bar of boost) :-)

And according v-2 / v-3 calculator ( http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/page.php?id=33511 ) a 8 ich damper and a 3 inch pulley give a 67200 at 7000rpm

Going forged, si, i was planning to buy the jeggs 10% overdrive damper (8") and pulley down from 3.4" to 3" but... 67k2 vs 52k is a HUGE overspin !

Should i try it ? (FYI : Street car, just drag race 2 weekend a year)

Working on overspinning one as we speak .

Not dynoing but if weather permits, taking it to the track for a real-world test since customer has time slips from prior to the mods.

No. Next Wednesday, weather and everything else permitting.

He's working on the car now. Had a 3.4" on the stock balancer.
Jegs OD balancer and 3.33" is what I think he ended up with. He's working on the car and I'm flying there Monday to tune and enjoy some vacation time.
Trapped 131 with the 3.4 and another tune.
135 with my tune and no other changes.
Will report back results when I return from my vacation or if I get a chance during.

I don't think I would overspin more than maybe 15%. Certainly not 130%

Got everything done and the car tuned. It pulls stronger than it ever has, however, we felt a vibration in the car from ~3500-4200RPM and we had planned on driving the car there. Since we had no trailer or way home if it turned out to be something that could leave us stranded, we abandoned the track trip. He planned on going last Saturday and got rained out. As soon as he's able to track it, I'll certainly post up results.
