sts wastegate info
Hi Guys
I have a 04c5 zo6 with sts twin setup
first gen I believe bought the car all done only had 32000k
car is in awesome shape previous owner was a fanatic on care
and maintenance he has 2 more vettes an 90 zr1 and 11 z06 carbon
I have no problems just some questions as my knowledge is limited at this time
my first question is what is the benefits of dual wastegates as opposed
to just one like I have
thanks this is a great site and resource

Burning Brakes
Redundancy.
The originals have only 1 on one side only. Theoretically, the pressure should be the same on each leg, and the one gate should flow enough to limit boost.
On my stage 2 build, I am adding an electronic boost controller with a second wastegate set to high limit for safety in case the solenoid fails or the gate sticks.
