True 10.5 is the max tire size can be in the class. Low8s high sevens in 1/4. I have to run around 5.10s in 8th to be competitive in my class.

How do you like the moser set up?

Where does the exhaust exit?

How much clearancing did you need for the trans?

Hard to tell from the pics, but did you tie the bracing from the moser kit into the cage behind the seats?

I've looked at this as my next step for my next car.

Sweet set up. Good luck with your goals.

I love it they built it for a 12" mine was the first 9" in that frame so had to move some stuff and communicated with them abought what should be where there r couple guys now that have the 9" setup like mine. U have to cut off the ribs on the fram and part of the shelfs the the tunnel plate mounts to.i got the ultra bell on mine so I had to cut the top of the tunnel for bellhouse and weld up a half cone to go on top.i cut a access panel out for trans brake and dipstick.didnt tie into cage just welded it to panel like in the directions. Dont plan on having exaust come out the back again there is no way to get anything past the tranny unless u cut channels in tunnel for exhaust .this is one of those things there is no turning back lol.and I had the shjfter sunk down in the tunel had to cut it out some but now its in factory location. Pro ratchet shifter it stays in the same place when u shift kinda like paddle shifter.

Very cool. I spoke to Moser last December about this setup with the 9".

I'm not ready to take that next step yet LOL.

Have fun! Thanks for the pics.

U would be rough to if u sat around for couple years
Getting cut on welded on sanded onPaint was needed when the car was baught so there was no need to keep it pretty. If u hate to say it dont say it ..oh and getting fugged up by my x while I was deployed.

I looked at the Moser. A very nice "bolt in" setup.

If I were going straight axle and needed to be NHRA legal that would be the route i would take.

It's NHRA Stock Eliminator class legal and still maintains the factory transverse rear leaf spring.

I did notice, however, that certain classes allow Corvettes with "any" IRS suspension and as such the Moser would not be legal.

You got to pick your class and then build the car for the class.

I think one of my concerns about using it is, it seems to require a front exit exhaust.

So, unless you're running a turbo, or just like to make a lot of noise like Joe, you've got a problem.

I built it for the true 10.5 class here in central tx and the toll ways. I cant run stock eliminator because its a ford 9" what mosser told me if I would have put a 12" it would be gravy and just little events around the country dont have provisions for solid axle corvette unless I step up in class that mainly has big tire cars

I contemplated going straight axle this year, but it would have taken me out of too many classes so I decided to make a completely redesigned IRS set up instead. No more pulling the suspension down to remove a rear/trans and the geometry is correct for the 15" spindle kit. Plus the exhaust issue.

good luck with it.
