Maggie & CAI?
My Maggie TVS2300 is on order; Kooks long tubes are going on now. I want to have a CAI installed and want to know if the Blackwing CAI will work with the inter-cooler on my C5?
If not, can someone recommend one that will?
Thanks.

I didn't think that the TVS2300 was available for C5s. From whom are you getting this, and is it a custom one-off, or is it a regularly available kit? Thanks for the reply.

Maggie kit for C5
I got my kit from Colorado Speed online. As of last Friday when I ordered mine, it's on sale - 5% off. Made it $7,077.50 exactly. They're made to order, about a week turnaround. Full bolt on kit, but you need a tune.
Stock hood won't fit.
Do your research. I just had 1-7/8 Kooks long tubes installed. He said I should have had smaller ones. I asked about a smaller pulley to offset the pressure loss. He said it was not recommended. But he called the Maggie factory and they agreed I need the 3.1 pulley, which is only $65 from CS. Most places it $110.
The hood I ordered from RKS; phone is 951-894-7883 (Hope they are a sponsor). Part #04011007 The hood needs a notch cut in the back. No structural change.

yep, the 2300's been on the C5s for about 4 years or so now. i got mine in 2011 straight from Magnuson.
for intakes, i grabbed the LG version of the Blackwing. works fine
i agree to stick with 1 3/4" headers unless you know you're turning it up to 11 later (or going with a bigger-cube engine).
how much boost you wanting to run? with a 98 engine, i wouldn't push more than 9-10psi. the 3.3 got me about 8.5 @ sea level & 1 7/8 headers, so i'd say that's about where you'll be with a 3.1 at your elevation. 93gas with a rich tune got me about 480 - coulda easily had >500 with a touch less fuel & another degree or two of timing, but i was just starting out & didn't want to risk it. the past couple years, i've been tuned for 11 @ sea level & it's a little more fun
you'll probably also want a 104-ish serpentine belt. the one Magnuson sends in the box is sized for a 3.6
