Default Started my new Mild 383ci PT88 setup what should I expect?

Well I just started my new mild setup last week on my C5Z06 it's:

383ci 8:8 Comp
Mild cam 226/228 588/598 116
Stock LS6 Heads / Stock intake & TB.
RSI Fuel hanger with dual DW301 Pumps.
60lbs injectors (I'm sure I need a bigger set)
Custom build single turbo kit with PT88 Turbo
3.5' downpipe.
and more & more stuff here & there.

For now I wanna max out the injectors planning to run it at 12-14psi then swap a bigger set and shoot for 900+rwhp which I believe the turbo is easily good for it !!!
hoping to dyno it next week if I can sort a slightly high temp issue while idling running around 190-200F the weather is hot this time a year around here 95+F do you guys think it's normal I'm only running Dewitt radiator with stock fans & Stock water pump.

Should I buy the Spal fans or wait for the new one coming from Dewitt?

Engine bay still needs a lot of work but I'm happy I started the car for now

How much do you think the blanket will help? Anyone knows which is the best brand and where to buy?

How much power should I expect 12-14psi on pump for now?

Don't be shy guys any comments are welcome.
Sam

My 01 GMC uses a 5.3 with PT88 running through a 4l80e and a 14 bolt rear end. On 7lbs it made 460rwhp, 12lbs it made 590rwhp, and on 19lbs it made 713rwhp. My drive-train losses are gonna be huge compared to yours, So I don't think you'll have any problems getting close to your desired #'s. A blanket definitely helped me wit under hood heat, and I just used one of those generic ebay ones made in the USA. But It still gets warm under hood. I followed JBSblown advice and bought some of those runcool heat extractor vents for both my Vette and truck.

I don't see any way you're going to be able to run that much boost with those injectors. I'm sure you'll be done at 10psi or less.

190-200 is reasonable considering. In the picture, I see what looks like Spal fans. Other than the brushless fans, that's the best fan you can get.

The factory program on the fans keeps them off until 235 degrees and people often seem to forget that.

If you can idle at 190* in this heat, leave that thing alone, that's as good as its gonna get....Trust me... I wouldn't spent $800 on new Spal fans that aren't even tested/proven yet.

Personally I don't think the regular Spal fans are any better then the oem fans..

thanks for the reply man.
I'm going to order the blanket hope it will make a slight difference.
I'm going to look for the heat extractors I'm sure it will help getting all the heat from the engine bay.
great numbers from your truck with that power robbing drivetrain I bet it hauls *** in the street.

Hey Bret how are you?
I know the PT88 will need a lot fuel but do you really think the 60lbs will not be enough for 780- 820 rwhp with 60-70 psi pressure? I don't think I can make that much power on 10psi I wish though
I'm now thinking about stealing my friend's FIC 1000 injectors now
So do you think the brushless fans are worth it??
in the pic it's the stock fans.

Thanks
Hussam

At 55psi base I run 80% duty cycle on Bosch 80#/hr injectors at 19lbs boost on a big aeromtive boost referenced system. You should just upgrade the injectors now as Bret already recommended.

I made 787 rwhp on a 60lb injector and a single 255 on 11psi.

We have always ran stock fans...temps in the 187 range...or spot on 187 usually. Stock radiator as well but, vented front plate and vented hood.

Where did you buy the vents on the hood?
I hope my dual 301 pumps will be enough for 900+rwhp with 1000 injectors or I will add a magnafuel pump

NACA ducts, or the ones on the rear? I think I have part #'s for the rear setups.
