Thanks guys. I was under the impression the Hinson mounts are the same height as the stock ones? Either way hopfully the down pipes fit, those are the only thing I'm worried about at this point. I ended up inspecting the gasket that was riveted on the pan and just reused it . It looked fine. I got the pan drilled and tapped and back in the car.

I tried harbor frieght, they had nothing for 1/2npt. I had to get the tap and bit from fastenal and had to special order the drill bit.

Looking good bro. Glad to see the change. You're gonna love the turbo delivery.

The rivets on oil pans, I usually get rid of them...small grinder/cut off wheel if a drill bit doesn't get rid of them. Make sure smooth surface for the new gasket, you'll be good to go.

Take extra time making sure those oil feed/drain lines are out of harms way...as in careful not to let them rub against anything sharp, or hot. Common sense I know but,..just triple check that...then once you're all mounted up...make sure the OIL FEED lines are TIGHT. Seen too many youtube videos of cars burning to the ground from one small act of negligence.

If I can help in anyway...call or text meng.

Yeah that's pretty cool with those mounts, getting extra clearance for the cradle and frame.

Lots of us have those bits/taps laying around and probly never use them again.

For the downpipes you'll want a 5/16 12 point socket and plenty of exetensions, perferrable wobble, and a universal, along with a 5/16 box end wrench. That and a lot of patience.

Making more progress. Oil drain fittings in, cradle back in, heat warped as much as I could. Test fit the downpipes and had to dent a small area on the frame on the passenger side, driver side I just had to grind the very corner of the bell housing... Like 2-3mm. All that's left is to wrap the manifolds and to extend the oil temp sensor harness then I can actually start to mount everything permentally.

The bolts on the down pipes arnt terrible to get to, worse comes to worse my fiancé has arms like a tooth pick. She is my designated tool retriever while working on this car lol, I always drop something where my arm doesn't fit.

Anyone running the ttix kit try and use a smaller msd starter to get a little
Extra clearance? Looks like it can me "turned" closer to the block so it may help get a bit more clearance so maybe I could fit a turbo blanket in there?

I tried with a Summit mini and it ran into the oil level sender so I didn't use it. But I have an LS6 pan, so yours could be different. There weren't any clocking positions that would fit right on mine.

George at tti said it's probably better without a blanket as keeping the heat in is harder on the turbos anyway. Currently I have nothing on the turbo or starter and it works out fine. I burned up a starter once but I was also running lean and they said that makes em run hotter and likely why it got burnt.

Yea with the ls2 its in the pan, I have nothing in the block there so it looks like it would work perfect. But if people recommend against it I'll hold off.

How are people with wraping the TTi headers? I was going to give it a shot with the dei titanium,

Those are the molded blankets TTIX sells. I used the Ebay ones for my 6266's.

Yes but they were a pain in the butt and no real advantage so I took em off.

I haven't seen anyone wrap the manifolds. I've just covered any wiring that's exposed to heat.

I'm going to be wrapping the manifolds due to where my fpr is located, plus I'm hoping it keeps under good temps down.

Should I wrap the downpipes? Or is it not real advantage?

Mine is an APS TT manifolds and DP. But I used the smaller truck starter on mine was considerably smaller, but I haven't seen many use anything other than the stock unit. I wrapped my manifolds and DP along with turbo blankets, also relocated wires away from heat sources and used heat sheilding on them. Can't get to much protection on a system your going to push with all the heat. GL!

Have a pic for comparison on the starters? The summit one looks like it would work perfect aswel. I'll have to send the blankets out to get modified because of the wastegate placement but it shouldn't be a problem. I'm still debating about using them. I may just run the setup as is and see how it does on the dyno, that will decide what I do come winter time

Made some more progress, hot side is pretty much buttoned up. Couple of te bolts made me want to burn the car to the ground but my gf with her small arms was able to get them, had her getting mad to tho lol, deff not easy.

I may have to move my fpr but we will see how it is on the dyno, maybe the wrap and hear stuff on the lines will be enough
