He has some serious skill. The work is even more impressive in person.

So we are making some good progress now.

Ram air?

We are determined to keep the ABS!

Look back at it! Looks like a dead sea creature haha!

Don't need all this crap!

Holley EFI. Including CAN bus for RacePak integration, various other harnesses, fuel pressure regulator and fuel rails.

Rest of the drivetrain is in. Liberty's Gears built T56. And OS Giken custom rear diff.

Turbos and downpipes reinstalled. Almost done buttoning up everything under the car. Next is wrapping up wiring and then plumbing. Then FIRE!

I don't have the budget or sponsor for a dry sump at the moment.

A great philosophy! All modern race teams understand that for a driver to perform at his / her best you are better giving them as little to do as possible. Most modern race cars are actually easy to drive (they have PAS, ABS, are cool, etc) to make the drivers life as easy as possible and to enable them to 100% focus on driving the car fast!

Exactly right. It's primarily for the rare times the car will be driven in the rain. AND, it has been known to sleet, ice, hail and snow at the top of pikes peak. Big slicks plus no ABS on ice is not something I want to experience LOL

PS, I grew up driving in MI. So the weather doesn't scare me. Purely a precaution. It's very possible we won't be able to salvage the ABS. At least not in time for this race.

A piece of advice would be to go back and wrap the DP's and exhaust manifolds. Controlling the heat is a big deal on these TT cars. I wrapped mine all the way back to the rear of the car and it made a huge difference in under hood temp as well as the heat coming through the torque tube area etc...

If you are going to do it properly look at the Aston Martin vanquish ( I think). They used 2 chimneys each side of the v12 that allow the heat to rise off the manifolds and out the hood. This massively help with engine bay temps as it actually allows the heat to escape rather than trapping it in.

Full write-up is in the road racing section.

But...
"Whelp the car did well considering. 670whp/770wtq. Not quite what I wanted. But certainly stout. This is on a very conservative tune. We weren't able to fully control the wastegate to hold more than 8psi. So we got it to peak for bit, but then it would quickly drop.

For right now I am pleased. This is more than enough power to put a grin on my face. And be fast on ANY track. So the next step is to get an alignment. Work on some small issues before track use. And at least get a front splitter on it to match the wing. Then test test test.

After that, we will go back and add power. As well as fulfilling the rest of the aero package and tackling any other weaknesses that come up."

Video of the max pull is here.
