We talked to the customer about several options we could provide for him and he just decided to leave the internals alone for now. Its all up to the customers preference.

HINSON Plug Wires
HINSON Plug Wire Heat Boots

Prepping the car for the intercooler install
Re-installing the Engine

Kooks 1 7/8 Headers

HINSON Plug Wire & HINSON Heat Boots Installed - (look @ that coverage end to end)

Removed the Front Bumper for Intercooler Install

At this point the engine is back in the car and will be wired throughout the night. Tomorrow we will be installing the intercooler and getting the car prepped for the dyno session. Stay tuned as we will keep you updated on a daily basis.

Why trunnion upgrade, VS a better full RR change, just cost? Is it less than 50% of cost of say a CC Procomp RR? Just curious.

The way the kit is set up from A&A is they route the vent back into the air intake, so that's the way it was done on this build.

We did the Trunion upgrade due to the GM stock rockers being a reliable and durable rocker that will support the power we are looking to make and not fracture or break. The Trunions are a great way to add security to your valve train and make a good rocker better for not a lot of up front cost.

Installed the torque tube and trans
Upgraded the trans mound to a HINSON TRANS MOUNT
Installed the engine back into the car
Wired and plumbed everything back in
Fixed some wiring issues we discovered
Installed the A&A Intercooler
Installed all the exhaust

All in all worked on getting the car back to one piece and ready to fire up.

So as this projects nears the end its that time............. Lets start hearing the HP predictions.

Well after a great build, this beautiful Z06 is finally ready for delivery. The day we have all been waiting on is finally here. We were able to see a horsepower increase of 234.76hp and an increase in torque of 160.58 ft/lbs. With horsepower and torque increase like this you would probably expect to loose a lot of drivability. The guys at A&A were able to create a kit that allows the car to produce these kinds of number and be very mannerly until you jumped on the throttle. Once you hammer down on the gas the car starts making huge power and screams like a kid that just had a butt woopin' in Wal-Mart. Another contributing factor to the great street manners was the Mcleod RST clutch we installed in this car to take all the power. Even being a twin disc 800hp clutch it has a lighter than stock pedal feel and will take all this car can throw at it. Keeping this beast all strapped together was a set of HINSON Motorsports engine and transmission mounts. Our interlocking stainless steel design, combined with a special blend of poly urethane helps keep the engine and transmission strapped in tight to ensure better shifts and less vibration. All in all the A&A kit went on pretty smooth and is a pretty quick way to achieve some serious power increases, and still be capable of being a daily driven Corvette. We are happy to see this build come together, and have a very happy customer there to receive it. It has truly been a pleasure to work with him on his car, and thank you for your business as well as all of you that have subscribed to this thread. If you are interested in any of these parts or having us build a car for you, please visit www.hinsonmotorsports.com or give us a call 205-909-9402.
