Default Advice please on A and A car with auto.C5

I am seriously considering buying a mint 99 C5(19,000 miles) with a A and A supercharger kit. The 460LE is stock. The car has never been raced or abused. The question is: If I don't drag race or abuse the car, how long with the transmission hold up? Car is making 468hp at the wheels.
Thanks

probably not long ..its the heat that kills them more than HP...i would add a large b&m trans cooler with fan up front and bypass the radiator for sure and it will be much happier..
I keep my rpm level 7 trans at 150 all the time...usually never goes over 145..

Put a aftermarket B&M cooler on it with a elec fan. Then get the trans fluid pressure set up with someone with HP tuners. Robert

very good advice

I have a spare 4L65E and diff at a good price if you want a builder

I have an RPM level 5 behind my 600 hp (at 10 psi) TTiX car and it's lasted a long time now on the street

Hi all, sorry to steam on this thread OP..
I've also got a 99 auto, I'm thinking of charging too... Is there anything else I should consider as well as this to keep things sweet?
I'm not tracking, just street cruising, with occasional bouts of grin time!

I'm probably at 600whp w/ stock trans and largest B&M plate cooler available and its still holding together. I'm running 345/35-18s but they aren't drag radials so the tire spin is likely saving my transmission.

HEAT AND LOW FLUID LEVELS WILL KILL A AUTO TRANS FASTER THAN ANYTHING. PLUS RPM HAS GOTTEN THESE TRANS TO A POINT THAT IS UNREAL, PRESSURE IN THEM HAS TO BE HIGHER WITH HIGHER RWHP OUTPUT MOTORS...Robert

I think around 500 at the tire and aggressive launches will cook the stocker

put an rpm tranny in there and then avoid the big hp 3-4 shifts and it should hold up very nicely even on drag radials on the street

once you get around 800 at the tire I think even the big builds will not last all that long although 1k is the new magic number for the lvl 10 or whatever he's up to

like to see what the upgrade would cost or maybe build my spare

Not a Z.
The cooler was around $120 I think, plus the braided line and fittings probably pushed it to $200 (maybe a little more). I got if from Jegs or Summit.
