Advice procharger guys used kit install
Hi, Im just about to buy a procharger from a guy on the forum for 2500 bucks. The system is fairly complete and there is a HP shop in Canada where the owner claims the guy is trustworthy and that he (the shop owner) personally removed the kit and it worked fine.
The injectors aren't included, maybe a fuel pump will be needed?
All brackets are there, hoses/tubing. P1sc.
by the time shipping/paypal fees we are close to $3K. new kits cost
about $7K but have everything for sure. (if I would spend 7K I could get Magnusson)
So, in your guys opinion I ask is this a decent deal and how to find out what size injectors I need etc.?
I sent the pic to procharger and asked he same with no reply. (yet)
Thanks in advance for your input.

If the seller has been on here for some time go for it. But if me I would make him agree if any parts are stuff don't work he pays for it.
I know a man is only as good as his or her word also. I think you will like this unit better than the other he said in your post.. Robert

Like Robert said, make sure the guy has been a member for a while.
There are a LOT of factors to consider. That is a great price, IF it is in good shape. I paid $3200 for a Procharger kit BUT, the unit had been checked out (don't want to rebuild one...) and it had the stage II mounting brackets. It had no injectors, but I wanted new ones anyway for reliability. There is a easy formula that you can plug in your #s (expected hp, fuel pump pressure, etc) and get the size injectors you will need, or you can just email or call a injector company and they will tell you what you need.
I would go ahead and put a pump in it if you are going to make any kind of power, but if you're going to start out stock and in the 450hp range, you'll be ok for now.

Somewhere on this forum is a post about the "True cost of supercharging". It might give you some idea of what you are getting into.
I started with a ebay $1800 complete P series procharger kit that no part is still on my car. Still have a procharger (D)but very little of the engine/driveline is now original. I am **** about having things strong enough to handle the HP.
As far as the older procharger kits go you will definitely want one of the new style brackets (mine is A&A). The old ones are a pita to change belts.

Im trying to post pics..maybe this will help out. this is all im getting nothing more I assume. The shop the man uses for his work is established (up in Canada) and says the parts are good. Supposedly has about 5 to 10K miles on it.
Found a cool link btw: http://www.superchargers4less.com/c5...stallation.htm (not to advertise for them, just the installation advice seems pretty good.)

OK...Bought the kit: Thanks SO much for the replies gentlemen. I see 60lb injectors and 42 for sale in the fs/trade section already. Likely like to get a nice replacement fuel pump to be safe as mine already has 130K on it!
