Default Supercharged automatic guys hitting 1.3 60's...

Just curious for all you 9 second (or better) guys hitting 1.2-1.3x 60 foots... what is your torque converter and gear combination? Would be interested to see the brand/model/stall/rear gear that everyone is using to get out of the hole a little quicker. Currently I'm running mid 1.4 60's but looking to maximize my setup before adding any more boost. Right now the car feels like it is leaving really soft. I launch just above idle. Take a look at the video and you can see it looks very mild leaving the line. Car makes 609 rwhp at 12 psi. I'm also running C6Z replica wheels up front and don't really want to use a skinny if I can avoid it. I don't mind switching back to a stock 17" front Z06 wheel however.

Setup is as follows (absolutely no suspension mods and it dead hooks):

-E85 fuel
-ECS Novi 2000 kit with restrictor plate, 3.8" blower pulley, A&A secondary drive kit
-A&A twin pump external fuel system
-C6 Z06 in tank pump with Racetronix harness
-Bosch 1000cc injectors
-Innovators West overdrive balancer (8")
-ECS big blower cam
-Dynatech long tube headers with cats feeding stock titanium exhaust
-RPM level 6 4L60E transmission with Yank SS 3600 converter
-M&H Racemaster drag radials 275/50/17 (28") on Z06 fronts

With weld RTS 15,s on the rear best 60 ft was 1.37. On 93 gas with METH. RPM level VII trans. With a triple COAN 3600 stall. Also put about 5 gallons of race gas in it also.

I wouldn't change the stall just yet-maybe just pulley it down or blend in a few degrees of timing up to 4000 rpm.

Pulley down with smaller restrictor plate opening & ramp timing

Also lose weight, those are the cheap approaches

A 1.44 60' is not bad for your combo at all... Skinnies will net you another .05. If you start screwing with converters, you can go the other way real quick...you'll 60' better, break more parts, lose mph.

I'm with ARUN, stick with your parts combo, work on your tune up where the converter flashes too...Ofcourse more boost is always good but...I wouldn't push it any harder then what you have it set at now.

Definitely get a drag pack for it... You'll gain 1-1.5 tenths and 2-3 mph with a full drag pack.

I have been 1.36 60' leaving at 1200 rpms and briskly pushing to the floor..(not straight up hammering). Every time I leave foot to the floor it breaks an axle. I figure it will go 1.30 on a full power/hard launch if it doesn't break parts.
I'm using a 9.5" FTI converter.. It's the 2nd FTIS converter I've had in it...also had a 10" Coan billet... The FTI is 5 mph faster.

Good info guys, thanks! I wanted to max this combo before adding any more boost. I may try adding a couple more degrees of timing (ramped) and if I do add boost, I'm going to just start with 1-2 lbs. I don't have any reservations tuning it to 650-675 rwhp. Also, a drag pack would be nice--I may start looking for one.

My car did a 1.28 60 ft yesturday first time out..u would be surprised what i have for suspension..back it up with a 1.30 60 foot..ECS knows how to tune these cars..i dont think its much to do with parts more in the tune

doug again is amazing

So opening the restrictor plate hole up by a small amount (1/8" or so) is a bad idea? It's easier than swapping pulleys and having to get a new belt.

I've heard good things about the FTI's. Also thinking about putting stock 17's back up front instead of the heavy 18" C6Z replicas I'm running. I would also consider narrowing the stock 17" fronts.

Thank you sir..
look how those 275 Pro's lifted the rubber off the track once they stopped spinning. It's hard to see in the vid, but it makes dark black lines where the rubber lifted.

Those are some bad bitches.
