C5 IAT sensor relocation help?
Hey guys,
I researched this and came up with a bunch of info but still have questions.
I know my 2002 C5 has the IAT built into the MAF and I'm going speed density tuned and A&A supercharger setup I'm removing the MAF so my tuner says I need tap into the wires going to the old MAF to get my 2 wires for the IAT sensor.
1. Does anyone know what wires these are?
2. Where can I get this sensor or what part numbers etc
3. Where do I need to place this sensor at?
thanks a ton!

If you pull up the instructions for a Maggie intercooled mp112 install on a c5 vette, it'll show exactly which wires to pull and tap. I had a spot built into the Maggie to relocate the sensor already so i can't help much there, sorry.

Borg Warner part number PT778 and WT382 for the IAT sensor and harness you can get them on eBay or Amazon. Cut purple and tan wires from harness and splice to the pigtail harness, drill the inlet pipe at around 5 o'clock and run it in with an impact.

I also used the borg/warner sensor mentioned above... just make sure to get one that screws in and not the one that pops into a sleeve like the 97-00 factory iat sensor... splice the purple and tan wires to the pigtail of the new iat sensor... polarity doesn't matter so you can hook them to either wire on the pigtail... put it as close to the throttle body as possible and drill the hole in your pipe slightly smaller than the threads on the sensor and tighten it down with a socket wrench, you could probably use an impact just be careful not to tighten it too much... don't be scared to use some jb weld around the outside to help it seal and keep from backing out... I put mine on the bottom of my charge pipe so it isn't really visible, just make sure it doesn't interfere with the waterpump pulley if you put it in this spot

I run a "pop" in IAT sensor with zero issues. I run around 10psi with a few up to 15psi. It has never popped out. I have mine mounted on top of the intake manifold. You can get this sensor at any parts store under 2004 GTO and it's less than 20 bucks. In my logs the sensor is pretty damn fast. I also had the omega "fast reacting" sensor which didn't seem faster compared to the GTO sensor.

like my man above said don't do any splicing. They make a plug and play kit I have it..
Here is the TB piping. Matt "Darkstar" could ony bead roll half of the end. Hopefully it will stay on and not leak. I may have to shorten the iat/meth pipe since the other pipe may need to be redone. Let's see if it holds first
Meth/iat Fished product by Matt. Thanks man looks great
Here is the iat sensor. You can't get any closer then this. Guess I measured this correctly..Also this is my caspers plug and play IAT connectors
Meth nozzle/iat
I should of stopped right here but space is freaking tight don't think I could of gotten away with it..
55 gallon of meth...
finished product..
