Default What oil for forged motor?

I have read the break in procedure for my new motor, never really thought about oil before. So I have a forged motor with cat. conv. what oil are you guys using that has the phosphorous and zinc required and not too much for the cats. After the initial break in of 5000 miles?

Thanks in advance
Adam

I have been using whatever synthetic I can buy on sale, and adding
Lucas zinc to it. But I am considering Joe Gibbs, it has pretty good reviews.

Running Joe Gibbs (Driven) LS30 because that's what the builder recommended.

Just regular oil has more zinc than most I also like the shell diesel oil 15-40 good for the price.

I'm running the Rotella TR6 Synthetic 5w-40 but check with the engine builder. Most recommend thicker non synthetic. Rotella 15W-40 is great for the price.

A lot of the information I read is a little contradictory as far as what is best for motor and car. Cost is not a problem, looking at what I have spent for motor. Gotta pay to play!

Most FI cars run a richer tune, which is hard on cats. so are the high zinc formula oils....no cats

my LG cats only lasted a summer they blew apart. I don't have any now but I think it's because of my hp level and spraying methanol
