Hi mate . is that your engine coolant temp , you could get your tuner to adjust the fans on time ( sooner) mine are way down now just because of that mod.

This might be of interest also.

Mine did the same thing, very high temps. You are going to have to get another radiator or bigger intercooler. Or both. The Magnuson's are bad about heatsoaking. Good luck.

a big mod that pewter99 & a few other guys have said helps is to cut out the license plate & mount the HE there behind the fascia so that it gets its own airflow separate from the radiator & keeps temps down for both. also, if you want to upgrade your HE to one that's a little thicker, it'll help draw more heat from the IC water.

do you have a TVS or 112?

I ended up selling the car. But I would start with a heavy duty radiator, and bigger intercooler.

TAC module? I rarely see them actually bad. It seems they're often declared badfrom poor troubleshooting when they're actually not, so make damn sure you keep your old one. It can be a tough job to properly isolate the trouble, even with the GM troubleshooting flow charts.

If the high temps are your IATs, make sure your pump is flowing and flowing in the right direction.

If it's ECT's, there's a high number of things that could be the cause.

Default update

i have my car back and running good.antivenom relocated the inner cooler to a better angle and cleaned it .they said fins were full of mud.greg tuned my car,489 hp 580 fpt he said the stock fuel pump and bap combo aren't providing enough fuel at wot so he adjusted it safely .told me i need a racetronix pump.does anyone know if i would be better putting a stage 1 from ecs?i drove the car last night and 100 miles today temp was 218 at highest but it is in the 60s.I will drive it more tomorrow i will be opening the licensce plate area for more airflow this monday night, but I've had the car since sept and never been able to drive it.So it has been fun, thank you everyone who helped me out with this problem

I would get the racetronics pump and the harness which makes an easy install of your bap ,also connects directly to your alternator + for a lot more volts. Note there are differences between
fuel pumps top mount or lower ,1997- early 03 should be lower just in front of drivers side rear wheel , 04 is tank out to get to the pump afaik .

Hi bud , hopefully you have an earlier c5 , will make it easier to swap pumps .

This is what I have.

And this is well worth having.

Maybe try and run the tank down as low as you can before you do the swap out , less fuel to deal with can only be a good thing .
