To those that have had both types of SC...is there a difference in the amount of supercharger whine sound that is audible? For me, a big part of the draw to an SC would be to hear that lovely whine as well as the roaring of my SLP Loudmouth pipes.

My MAGGIE was much louder than the vortech, and I do miss it, but the vortech sounds ok.

the TVS is a good bit quieter than the 112 unless you get the cog drive, though.

That's what I was expecting. My biggest concern would be heat soak issues here in FL after doing the heads small cam (Thunder Racing 224R 112 lsa cam) AND a maggie. But I know that it would sound amazing.

with heads & cam, you'll have less resistance in the airflow, which will make a little less heat. and mine was perfectly fine in pensacola.

and if you ain't got that cam already, you'd be better off picking one designed more towards a PD blower to see more bang for your buck out of it

I already have the heads and cam and supporting parts and planning to put them in this spring. I know that I'm leaving power on the table so to speak when I go FI down the road but I really like the cam and drivability of it. I may revist and get a more FI friendly cam as well when doing the charger. Baby steps.
