What A/C man said no need to replace it.

On that note A&A has a purple colored filter. Looks like K&N but with A&A name on it.

I measured my available space for the filter, then went to the K&N website and used their search by dimension feature to get a part number. Then I ordered that filter from a local auto parts store. I was able to get a significantly larger filter on my setup. I don't know if it made any measureable difference since I didn't dyno before and after. I only did it because I managed to damage my original A&A filter. I had a talk with K&N tech support during the process of looking for a filter, and they told me you can in fact exceed the flow rate of some filters with a supercharger, and that obviously hurts performance.

Do you have the part number of the air filter?

I don't remember the part number, but it may not work for you anyway. I run a Cartek bracket with an A&A inter-cooler and piping.

To the OP here call andy or what ever head unit you have on the car. Tell them your set up and ask them for help they have a reason for what stuff they put with each set up.. Robert

I'm using DP's Big Mouth Filter on a Ysi, but that's on a 4" pipe.

He ordered a replacement filter from me already.

Our SC air filters are made just like the K&N and are re-usable if you don't mind cleaning and drying them. Some of my customers like to buy an extra filter, to avoid downtime during filter cleaning/drying process.

I've spoke with K&N techs as well, and I'm actually a K&N distributor. Regarding the possible choking off of air flow, too small a filter CAN cause this.
They did a simple calculation to determine how much airflow my motor and supercharger would produce, and then sold me an oversized TRUCK filter that did the job...

Downtime when cleaning the filter? Bunch of lowjos. Just whip it around in your hand a few times and let the motor dry it out.
