Any of you have your front sway bar removed?
For those of you who never plan to take a turn again, do you still have your front swaybar in? Seems like a good place to save weight. I know the rear one helps a lot with traction off the line but wasn't sure what some of you with more race oriented cars were doing. How's stability?

i haven't been running one for awhile now. you definitely notice it but if you don't plan on taking turns fast then you will be fine. its definitely part of the reason my car hooks as well as it does. it also allows more room for piping etc..
if you run 15's on the road i wouldn't recommend ruining those and no sway bar, its super sketchy at high speeds, but one or the other is just fine.

when i go back to track i will try and remove front bar see if it hurts it or helps it

I don't run front sway bar and go 1.25
I'm not sure "how much" it actually helps to remove them but just like other minor parts on a car, I remove them if its not needed for doing what I'm doing with the car.

I've only been up to 160ish and it was fine even on a skinny. So with normal size front tire IMO there will be no issues especially in a straight line. A sway bar really only starts to do its intended job when there is more weight transferred to one side than the other (while cornering). So in a straight line scenario I don't see removing the front bar ever causing an issue.

C6 Z51: ...31mm front 25.6mm rear
C6Z06 & GS: ...31mm front, 27.9mm rear
C6T1: .....38.4mm front, 27.5 rear
C6 ZR1: . .33mm front, 31mm rear
I haven't seen a C6Z bar in person, but the ZR1 is noticeably different from the C6Z51. And for around $100 shipped you can't beat it!

If you're going to disconnect the bar, might as well remove it for weight savings. I've been running without it for quite some time now. I even run my 15" drag pack on the way to the track. It's plenty stable for me. Defiantly fine for straight line racing.

this is how I just tried it, my car never hook so made no changes, I use the 295/50/16 M/t... I'm sure a 275 Pro will hook but that's big $ and mines still a driver all factory stuff just a lot of power. So I like to make it up on the big end always fun to pass up true race cars @ the 1/2 point in the 1\4 hahaha ...
