You probably wont be doing any half mile stuff unless you run the tranny in 4th gear which im not sure if thats good to do. My vette with 3.42 and a th 400 tops out around 150 in third gear and does it much sooner than the half mile mark. For reference its a 383 ls6 with a ptk turbo kit. Im running twin 6265s at 14 psi

You'll probably be better off dropping the gears down to 2.73s. With the deep first gear of the 4l60e it wont hurt the car getting out of the hole. In fact it should help traction some and also load the turbos better. The vette is gonna be so much faster than your cobalt that your gonna think the cobalt was going in reverse. I used to have a 57mm at 30 psi on my old cobalt so I know from experience. Good luck with the build

Maybe at some point I will change it out, I know this car will be a lot faster, and faster in a different way. My cobalt in that video was sitting at 600 whp.

Been a little while but have been slowly working on the car. Got motor done, trans and torque tube out, converter is at precision industries. Should be about a month and I think I will be able to start it. Couple things I need help on tho, need to know what I need to do a sd tune, also a small but vital part, spark plugs. Car will be on E85, and 800 ish whp, what plugs would you guys recommend?

SD tune just a map sensor and if you prefer a separate iat sensor with adapter to the maf harness plug.

Nice build, I'm on 91/Torco, and run BR7s, works for me...

I'm in the same HP range as well.

So making good progress, motor, trans, fuel tanks are in got some of the turbo kit installled. Got the map sensor in along with iat.

How do you hook up a lock up switch? I want to have control over the converter. Shooting for a 2 week deadline to get done

Make a switch to ground, red connector on the pcm in pin 42. Behind the right front tire. I have one it's handy at times. A weird thing after using it, the car will not lock the converter by itself again until the car is rebooted, but you can manually switch it on/off all you want..

Good to know, thanks Chris. 8 am also wiring in a boost controller for high low boost. Click high boost and lock the converter in second and let it eat.

Sounds good. Did you get a multi disk converter? If you do that with a single disk I'm sure it will burn up.

Yea, I ended up having to pull the trans to do the fuel tanks, so while it was out figured I might as well do the converter and poly couplers

If I am leaving the evap line disconnected do I even need the evap solenoid? The car was missing it when I bought it so it would just be easier on my part to delete the codes involved.

Can someone tell me where this goes to, its behind the engine and has a small line that goes into the harness.

And also I see people saying to hook up the rear steam ports, should I do this, and whats the easiest way, I know there was some kits out but there like 140 bucks for a pipe and two fittings.

That looks like the vacuum line that runs to the secondary air injection system. I capped mine.

I also picked up a truck steam tube from the junkyard for $2 and T'd into the front steam lines, I wasn't paying for one of those kits. I did have to bend the line coming off the truck steam tube a bit, wasn't really an issue though.
