Default R888's.....Is It Spring Yet?

Just ordered Toyo R888's. They'll be here on Monday.

Only thing I'll be able to do though is stare at them and wait for Spring.

I think I am going with them as well considering they now have a 345/30/19.

their 335/30/18 is 26 tall so I probably wont go with it cause I want a 27-28inch tire. but if they came out with a 27-28" 315-335 18" rim tire. it would be my first choice. im most likely getting a set for the fronts tho

skull,

What is the reason for 27-28 tall. I thought 26 was the best for the gearing in a Z?

I love my 275/40/17 front and 335/30/18 rear R888's with 832rwhp/896rwtq. I just gotta finish the trans swap now.

I have a c6z t56 setup. just went turbo and mostly building the car around highway racing and beating 1000s because the local track closed 2 years ago I have no reason to make it a dig racing car anymore. so the 28" tire will help not needing to shift so fast

832? Geez, I'm a lightweight compared to you. LOL

Guess these tires will have no problem putting 610 to the street then.

You have to be semi-gentle to the first 3 gear changes from a dig. Once they're warm, the tires worked great for me

Good to hear. A 50 foot roll is all I'm looking for at this point.

I had hankook ventus v12 tires before the triple 8s and yes it's like ice skating all the time.

Wondering if I should go to them from my 335 Toyo RA1s. They quite a few miles (heat cycles) on them now, but I can break them loose at 60
Need something with a little more traction.
Where are the best (LOL) prices on these?

325's are $412 at tirerack. They don't have 335's listed as a size for those tires.

Default Toyos?

I am also in the market for rear tires, and was considering the R888's as well. But now I am leaning toward the MT Streets. I need a 305/35/18 to fit my 11" CCW 505a's. The 315/35/18 Toyo TQ's was about 1/2" too wide (stuck out), and would not hold the car at all on the street @750rwhp. Car is a A4 with a 3.15 gear. Now I am going to turn it up another 100 or so HP, and looking into a new set of something's 1/2" narrower to hold it.

WOW; over $800 for two tires

I would actually love to have 345s, but not finding a lot of "deals" on any of these quality tires
