Default Do I really need hot wire kit?

I have a ProCharger p1sc, and I purchased a walbro 450 fuel pump. But I was wondering, do I really need a hot wire kit? And what does it exactly do?
Thanks for any advice

Yes you need it.

Fuel pump draws some serious load.

$50? Absolutely do it. It's an easy install and as everyone said, it is nearly a must. I really don't see how they build it for that price.. the connectors and wire have to cost at least half of that price

Given the huge amounts of current those pumps draw, yes the wiring and all connectors used throughout must be 100%
