Default Alky Control vs. AEM Alky Kit

So I had an Alky Control kit and it was stolen from my garage

I am looking to replace it but notice AEM makes a unit as well. What is the difference between the Alky Control and AEM unit?

Did anyone ever steal an AEM kit from your garage?

Seriously, never had AEM but Alky just works, and the support from Julio can't be beat.

Does the AEM one use plastic hose and push lock connectors like I think they do?

I know the alky control one uses stainless steel lines that screw on.. so that is a plus for the alky control corner IMO

I've ran both the AEM meth injection kit and currently run the Alky control meth injection kit. Both have good controllers. Alky control has larger stainless lines AEM has small plastic push lock lines and the nozzles thread into the charge pipe which is often too thin to get a good amount threads tapped into it to secure the nozzle to my liking. This requires you to weld some sort of bung into your tubing or live with nozzles that could and often times do come loose. I also had one of those cheap plastic push lock hoses on the AEM kit come off. When I was at WOT. Not a good thing when your tune is meth dependent. That was enough for me to make the switch.

Aem pump don't put out the pressure they claim it does and Alky control does and then some.

In the end as it pertains to these cars Alky Control > AEM all day.

What are you guys using for gauges and monitoring?

I'm thinking of using a 1 gallon cell for the tank.

I'm running a speed density tune and relocated the iat in the charge pipe just before the throttle body and log it with hptuners... I don't have a gauge in the car monitoring iats constantly but the alky kit has a test button and when you hold that down it manually sprays meth and you can watch the wideband and see it get pig rich and the car will also bog out... my tune is meth reliant so if it were to stop spraying my car would fall on it's face... most of us just use the washer fluid tank for the meth reservoir but the tank you're looking at could be used if you find a place to mount it, more than likely would have to be in the trunk area or maybe under one of the headlights depending on how big it is

What about removing the washer fluid tank all together and then adding this for Meth. I feel as though this would be a safer place to keep Methanol.

I have a tank like that in the back

thinking of going direct port alchy next time as I think the distribution is better

Julio is wonderful and so is his alchy control setup

it's what I use too

What do I need to do to get it in the rear? Any setup differences? Any chance I can see your setup? I am getting an Alky control unit. I have access to a 3 gallon cell and would rather use that in the spare tire area if I can.

Where's the spare tire on our cars?

First off, Alky Control for the WIN! Just spoke with Julio yesterday, and had him ship me a fresh pump, his service is TOP notch...

I've been running his kit for nearly 10 years, I now have the duel nozzle setup. Keep it simple, go with Julio, and use the windshield washer tank. At 1000 HP, that tank has worked great for the last 10 years...
