Default what throttle body to use

I have an 01 z with an mp112, happy with the power but always looking for more. I was just wondering what everybody was running for MAF sensors and Throttle bodies on their boosted application?

Would aftermarket give me any noticeable gains?

Only mods are the mp112 (stock pulleys) and LTs with no cats.

Depends on the amount of boost but most of us are beyond the capabilities of the GM MAF SENSOR. it's not uncommon to do a custom 2 or 3 bar OS via HP Tuners and run speed density (no MAF) it would seem that the guys who are making low boost that are still able to run a MAF sensor are using stock sensors. As for a throttle body. Most don't go with aftermarket ones either. No need.

How much boost are you making?

Okay, makes sense. I am only running ~6 lbs and dont plan to ever go above 10lbs. I need to do something about my IATs before I push more though. The MP112 sure does get hot.

At anything over 6-8 psi you will probably be maxing out a MAF sensor.

Just food for thought.

As far as your IAT's go look into getting an Alky control methanol injection kit. You won't have high IAT's after that. check with Blownbluezo6@RKT56 on that one.

I was running 8# with no plans to go any higher. I am now running 15#.
Meth injection will help some. Last time on the dyno I had 75 degree air intake temp when spraying.
