Good thing about your setup is you have all the supporting components, just need a motor. Are you going with another 5.7 or something else?

Sounds good and should pickup some tq with extra cubes. Just don't drop the compression too low like I did and lose low end power. I think something about 10:1 would be nice.

Heck of a run.
Just imagine if you took out an extra 300lbs of weight from the car and then brought it to Atco during a nice -1000 DA day.

Congrats on the new record Al. Sorry to hear that you lost the engine on this one. Did it give any indication before it let go?
Any reason for going LS2 vs another LS6 or LS1? Either way, looking forward to your next combo.

That sucks about the motor but very nice pass. It's great you had a lot of fun and memories with it however.

a little more cubes plus the LS2 is a stronger block.

I still think you should just swap in a stock LS2 shortblock
