Video of the ProCharger tensioner in action (Cross Post)
Just randomly came across this video.
Thought it was worth sharing since most people with C5/C6/C7's don't get to see this little guy in action due to the placement of it.
However when shown here on a BBC you can see it in action.
The ProCharger tensioner is not only spring loaded, but it also has a jackshaft on the backside that can allow for it to be "PRE-LOADED."
Having this ability allows a customer to add whatever insane amount of tension they want on the belt.
Which allows guys to lay down big power numbers, without slip or belt damage.
So far in the Corvette world, looks like the 1457rwhp with this tensioner is the record so far. (Until they decide to turn it up more)
So if its good enough for 1,457rwhp.
Its MORE then good enough for the average "street" guy.
*incorrect tensioning procedure can lead to loose belts, and tensioner damage
If anyone has questions about how to properly tension this unit, please check the owners manual, or contact us at ts@procharger.com so we can get a manual out to you.
